If you'd like to continue reading or start reading the adventures of Miss Sara then please send her an email at SCOBrien@wellington.com. Please also include your blog name, a little pre-screening might need to be done as ex's always try to be sketchy hence the "ex".
She's also a bridesmaid of mine so she must be pretty hip! :)

Ho Ho Ho
I saw the neatest Boutonniere's the other day. I wish I could have saved the picture to post, but i'll try to explain. It was a single flower (white rose for my guys) with a blue ribbon wrapped around half of the steam and attached was a tiny starfish pin. Similar to the one below but it had a little bit of a softer look. I've been searching high and low and have only come up with this one from Lapel Pin Planet. I'm not going to lie the name kind of sleeves me out for some reason. I loved the idea and if I find pins I like i'm going to see how it looks with a navy (or light blue) ribbon on a rose. (I did however find one pin I loved, only $2,000, what a steal! 10 boutonniere's times $2,000 = $20,000)
I'm working this week and today was surprisingly busy. It does make the day go quick but damn it people take some vacation already! Oh did I mention I'm losing 9 days of vacation I didn't use this year! Asshat.

One preppy weekend....
I'll have a weekend recap soon along with our Holiday plans and gifts i'm giving.
Friday, December 14, 2007
Dear Premier Jeep Cape Cod,
xo,
Kimba
Reason 983748762 why I am a very big fan of living and working in the city. We had our holiday party yesterday afternoon at the 21st Amendment in Beacon Hill (or as we like to call it 21A, pronounced two one A or 21A). When I plan things it has to be something I like so going to one of my all time favorite places is what I did! Chalk that up to the name of my blog, ATK! Ok sorry back to my point...I left the office around 1:45 and walked to Haymarket took the Orange Line to Community College a 10 minute walk and I was home. I'd say it took me around 25 minutes. The second shortest commute was 3 and a half hours. Needless to say when emails here flying around this morning about the crappy commute I kept to myself. My poor boss sat inside the 93 tunnle for and hour and a half. I would go nuts.
Nothing too big planned for tomorrow!!!!!!! I can't wait! No really...I can't!
Suz, keep your phone near!
I will post a few pictures from our snow piled deck for all of you wishing you had snow.

Christmas Cheer
The first is a wooden buoy with the airport code for Nantucket on it (duah Kimba) I also have one for every "bigger" town on the cape. HYN, YAR, FAL, PRT, CC. I picked them up a few years ago at The Christmas Tree Shop. They were not meant to be ornaments but I bought everyone that had and have been using them as so since. Last year I attached the FAL to a gift I got my old boss who has a second home in Falmouth. Needless to say his wife simply loved it.
You can't see the Pats one as well, stupid iPhone camera. But you do get a look at the CC buoy.
And for all you Midwest ladies I've added my all time favorite!

Meet our Tree....
Here is a picture of our tree when we brought it in the house. Please remember we have already cut the twine holding it together. Now that is one frozen tree!!!
9:30pm 12/2/07
After watering it with lukewarm water and spraying water on it through out the day and evening here is the finished product. It was still a little frozen but we couldn't wait any longer to decorate it!

Christmas Meme
Hot chocolate as I've never had Egg nog, maybe i'll change that this year. Next week at Starbucks i'll switch it up and check back!
2. Does Santa wrap presents or just sit them under the tree?
He wraps them. He starts out loving the idea and quickly remembers he's not a big fan nor very good.
3. Colored lights on tree/house or white?
White lights on the tree candles in the windows. My mom did this when I was growing and we do it now.
4. Do you hang mistletoe?
Nope. Do most people?
5. When do you put your decorations up?
If it were up to me i'd put them up right after the first turkey sandwich! But the weekend after Thanksgiving is good enough for me!
6. What is your favorite holiday dish (excluding dessert)?
I don't think I have one. Maybe ham but that's not really a "dish".
7. Favorite holiday memory as a child?
I have two good ones:
When I was young we'd spend a few days at my aunts 4 hours away from our house. She had a dog and I couldn't spend the night so we had to stay in a hotel (WITH A POOL!)! It got to be a tradition and we would rent out rooms and moved the party to the hotel.
On Christmas Eve my mom would let us open one present. I opened a Barbie that you could do her hair (it was like a head) and my brother opened a package of socks. My mom then let him open another one he could "play" with and I freaked out that he got to open two! Brother sister love!
8. When and how did you learn the truth about Santa?
Not sure. I have a feeling my brother spoiled it for me :)!
9. Do you open a gift on Christmas Eve?
Just one...
10. How do you decorate your Christmas tree?
With random ornaments and white lights. I will post a few pictures of my favorites. This year we are starting the traditional one new ornament a year! I'm looking forward to what we find this year.
11. Snow: love it or hate it?
I don't mind show, I loathe ice. Snow is great in the early months, come March it's warn off.
12. Can you ice skate?
I can. I wouldn't say I'm Kristi Yamaguchi by any stretch but i'm not half bad!
13. Do you remember your favorite gift?
My engagement ring last year was a pretty good gift!
14. What’s the most important thing about the holidays for you?
Being with loved ones. This will be the first Christmas ever I'm not going to be with my mother. But I'll be with Music Guy's parents so don't feel too bad! :)
15.What is your favorite holiday dessert?
Not a big sweets fan. But I do love a cheese tray! Cherry pie if I have to pick a dessert.
16. What tops your tree?
A bow. We did it again this year...We're trimming the tree and think oh crap we forgot to get an angel. I really need a reminder at the end of the season to pick one up on sale. Anyone want to remind me!
17. Which do you prefer, giving or receiving?
I LOVE shopping for people. Mainly the guys in my life, guy stuff is just more fun to pick out ot me.
18. What is your favorite Christmas song?
All I Want for Christmas Is You and the Theme song to Charlie Brown Christmas
20. What would be the best gift you could receive this year?
That's a great question I actually need to get on that. A new TV would be great!
That was fun! And I didn't actually have to think about if I was writing something I didn't want someone to see!

What do a tree and a trukey have in common.....
We got our tree yesterday from the Boys and Girls Club of Charlestown and it is a tree I'll always remember. We got home and cut the twine and unlike most tress not one branch moved. It had ice on it but we didn't realize it was frozen solid all the way through. We had to bring it inside to thaw out. I had three beach size towels around it and they're all soaked! I put warm water in the tree stand to help speed up the thawing and our tree stand was steaming, it was cold! Then we sprayed warm water on it and finally that was helping it "lay down". We got our tree at 2pm and finally at 9pm we started to decorate it. There was something not right about going to bed and not having it decorated, but I had to pull off the final ice chunks before I'd put lights on it. Of course Music Guy reminded me the same lights go outside and we'd be fine. Dauh Kimba!
It was a very good weekend fast but good! We had J & G over and we went out to dinner. Saturday we tried not to freeze while running around. Sunday we had MG's dad over along with J & G for our 1st Annual Tree Trimming Party (we decided that after the fact). Next year we'll get a head of the game and thaw our tree out before the guest arrive!
I'm out of the office the next two days for work. Just think when I get back to the office it'll be Thursday!!! Though i'll still be working and have my blackberry it'll be a nice change!

And also has her own monogrammed baby bottle koozie from yours truly! Ashley's parents are proud collectors of koozies, so it was only fitting for Ashley to start her own collection.

Beacon Hill Holiday Stroll
North River Outfitter is a fairly new store on Charles Street. (They also have a location in Norwell) I first shopped there this summer while showing my cousin around Boston. As you can see if you click on their link they carry some very preppy items. It is a nice alternative from J. McLaughlin and Blackstone's of Beacon Hill.
Here is a copy of the text from their Newsletter today. And no it just so happens I was planning on doing a BH Stroll post and it's not another KEP plug, though they will be doing a Trunk Show that evening. Just saying....
Please join us for the Beacon Hill Holiday Stroll on December 6, 2007 from 5-9pm. We will have both Thatcher Spring of Nantucket and KEP Designs of New York City at the event displaying their products. Wear your festive attire, enjoy hors d'oevres and cocktails.View KEP Designs Collection
Trunk Show: KEP Designs
December 6th: 5-9PM

Grande vs. Venti
I didn't get home until about 7:45 last night, that makes for a short evening. I was on a mission to finish my Shopaholic Ties the Knot. It has taken me a long time to get through that one, I admit it was good but I feel it dragged on a bit in the middle. I was starting to get annoyed but all in all I enjoyed it. So am I right to assume Shopaholic & Sister is the next one to read? And then the baby? But I feel I might need a break from Becky Bloomwood, I read the first three in a row. I have the Lovely Bones to read but I am afraid it is going to be kind of a dark read.
Ok I started this at 9am and i've only gotten this far? Sad.....

You are not the biggest loser....
It's been a busy last few days. I spent as much time in the office yesterday then I did at home. But I am hoping to leave early today and won't be back until Monday! Looking forward to a very nice Thanksgiving on the Cape.
Hit the gym this morning, I always forget how freaking wonderful it is to have the gym out of the way!
Oh...speaking of Biggest Loser one of the trivia questions was "How many grams of sugar is in one large scoop of canned Cranberries" I don't remember the exact number but it was close to 104. The same as 5 candy bars. Yep, canned cranberries are my fave side dish. Thanks!
I know some of you are participating in NaBloPoMo and I am also trying to make a showing. I have posted everyday and though some are pretty weak it's still a post right? Well the other night Music Guy said my blog is now watered down. I agree but who asked him anyway! So thanks to those who are sticking with me. Something exciting is bound to happen in the month of November for me to post about, I promise!
One thing I am thankful for are my fabulous blog friends!
Have a very Happy Thanksgiving!!!!!!

What dust?
We had a nice evening hanging out with the Hicks last night. They got married in September so needless to say there was a lot of wedding talk.
Speaking of weddings...do you have any suggestions on wedding shoes? What are good sites to check out? And some dos and don'ts?
Hope you're having a good weekend! I was a huge fan of seeing the sun today!

One sign of stress
Now that I got that out of the way!
Pretty funny (if you're me) I received an Outlook Calendar Invite this afternoon from Music Guy. The subject was "Wedding Planning" with a two and a half hour time block for next Friday when we're on the Cape.
I sent one back with my meeting the next day with the florist, I don't think the same humor was still there!
One week until Turkey Day!!!
Wednesday, November 14, 2007
Some thoughts.....
I have finally gotten my head around the fact I am not going to really use hydrangeas and peonies. In September the cost would be over the top and I can come up with something just as nice. It will just take a little time. I am emailing back and forth with the florist to pick a Saturday that will work as she's on the Cape. After we sit down I'll have a better understanding of everything.
white bouquet of stephanotis, Akito roses, and calla lilies with pearl accents.
minus all that ribbon.
Stephanotis have a small similarity to hydrangeas, this isn't the best picture of them, but in person I think they're pretty (cheaper).
I like simple white roses for my bouquet and one rose for the boutonnieres. I am planning on having Vineyard Vines ties and I like the look of a simple rose as is. I do not have the ties picked out. But am pretty set on them being light blue to match the sashes on the bridesmaids.
I sure wish I knew more about flowers! But heck there is a whole lot i'm learing about this wedding stuff!

First of a few
Friday night my dad hosted a welcoming dinner for Music Guy's parents. My step brother, step sister and their family came also so did my mom and brother. A very nice way for MG's parents to meet my step mom's kids.
As I posted about on Friday we had a 6:30am flight out of Boston. We all got up at 4:30am and were at Logan by 5:30am and in line only to be told we would have a four our delay for "mechanical problems". They had to reschedule us to take the next flight at 11:15am (a flight from Milwaukee to Boston was coming in at 10:45am) which they said was going to be carrying the part to fix our plane. And being the first flight out of Boston means that plane was there over night. So you're telling me they had no idea about this last night and it was only at 5:30am they found it out? There was no notice before 5:30am the flight would be delayed. Midwest Air was recently sold and I can assure you our flight was not full and neither was the 11:15 flight so it makes since to cancel the 6:30 flight and put us all on one. We did get out on time and made it to Milwaukee around 1:15pm. Got our rental car and we off to Madison in no time.
I took them around the UW campus and stopped at a local bar for the freshest Miller Lite and fried Cheese Curds, it was a small order. You really only need a taste, you want more, but really shouldn't.
The rest of the evening was spent at my dads for some family time.
Here I am with my mom and brother
Music Guy and I
My dad picking on me.....
Here we're getting out game faces on!
The band!
Who ever this guy is....I love your hat
My team came out on top but Music Guy was a good sport!!!
It was such a wonderful weekend I got to spend a lot of quality time with my family and was so happy to share it with Music Guy and his parents! I will have more pictures to share as they come in.
I enjoyed my day off yesterday. I spent some time at Natick Collections, and JCrew I was not impressed with your new store nor the people you have working there. I then went to Barnes & Noble sipped a Latte and read a few errr 5 gossip magazines. Then it was off to get my weekend errands done and tend to the my house cleaning.
We were at the gym a little after 6 this morning and all day i'm a few hours a head of myself. I think my afternoon is going to drag a tad, nothing a Diet Coke can't take care of!
Happy to be home!!!

Got Pics?
I have the laundry in and I'm about to make dinner. We're having a Chicken Caesar Salad, very much looking forward to it. I got frozen grilled chicken strips from Trader Joe's, Caesar Salad mix and packaged romaine lettuce. My kind of dinner! Why do it any different?/!
I will post the pictures tomorrow and give you a weekend update!
Hope you had a good Monday!

And we're home
43 shopping days left...I am off tomorrow and am looking forward to maybe getting a few gifts out of the way. I do know I'll spend a good hour plus at Target as the last time I was there I was rushed, and I just do not like to be rushed while at Target!
I tried all weekend to blog from my BlackBerry and it was successful. I tried to post on Friday about 10 times and finally it worked. I was getting so ticked, it's "easy" to do it that way.
Off to Papa Gino's to pick up my Super Veggie Pizza!

Our plane just got here and I am praying the super loud lady across from me does not sit near me as I will lose it. Or at least tell her to take it down a notch.
Fingers crossed we get to Madison by game time. Which is 24 hours from now, but who knows! :)
Thursday, November 08, 2007
Yeah!!!
Off to sit in a window-less conference room from 10-4 the upside is I do get Blackberry service! Suz I'm counting on you to keep me entertained!

Wednesday but my Thursday
If you have not tried the English Muffin Sandwich by Smart Ones you really need to. They have 200 calories and 13g protein, and ready in under 2 minutes. It's a nice change from oatmeal.
Speaking of English Muffins, I have a good quick dinner idea: Boca Pizza
-Morningstar Farms Tomato & Basil Pizza Burgers
-Thomas Hearty Grains English Muffins
-Shredded Mozzarella
-Marinara sauce
Put the burgers in the oven until they are done, toast up the english muffins in the oven, melt the cheese, spread sauce.
Makes a good quick sandwich!
Enough food chatter.
Tonight I have to get packed for the weekend as tomorrow night we're going to dinner for G's birthday. Looking forward to trying out a new place in Beacon Hill (well new for me).
Yikes, this blog is quickly going down hill! :)

Election Day
I have an all day meeting on Thursday and I'm off on Friday so today was crazy and tomorrow will be the same. I'm looking forward to a four day weekend! Three weeks in a row I will have had a four day work week! And hope the week of Thanksgiving is only three days, I think I can swing it. We're going to the Cape for Thanksgiving, looking forward to some days down there!
Music Guy downloaded Firefox for our Mac so I finally have full blogging privileges at home!
I was reading on line that the are making a Shopaholic Series movie? I think that would be pretty neat expect for there is talk Becky is going to be American...? Weird.
The Sox signed Shilling, that's all fine and good but lets get Lowell! Do any of you read Shills blog 38pitches
Again, thank you guys for your prayers! As I said he reads my blog and will love to see that! HA!

Thank goodness for two shoes
No more boot, my ankle is still pretty sore but I was feeling like the cast was making it worse as my foot could still move around and it was pretty awkward. So I'm happy to say I can travel this weekend sans boot.
Lots of hugs and prayers for my father who ended up in the hospital this weekend and is having gallbladder surgery today. I talked to him Saturday and Sunday and he sounded good. We're headed to his house this weekend so it's bittersweet timing. Always scary to get a phone call your parent is in the hospital. But he's a touch cookie! No word yet, I've been carrying my cell phone everywhere with me today.
Moving on to happier subjects!
Speaking of cell phones. I think I'm breaking up with Verizon, I've had them forever and actually love their service and I get a 20% discount through work. But the thing is they don't offer the iPhone so that leaves me to turn to At&T. Music Guy and I were talking that it could be my Christmas present! I'm all for that. I am always playing with his and would love my own. And my contract is up with Verizon so it's perfect timing. If I get an iPhone between the two of us that would be three iPods, two iPhones, a MacBook, an AirPort Express and countless other Apple accessories. What I know he really wants is Apple TV, but there is no reason to get that until we have a newer TV.
What is your favorite Apple product?

So we won!
Wisconsin lost...Michigan won... BUT
Packers won big time in the end.
Pats...I am not made for games like that...but in the end they won. I knew they would (until half way through the game).
Music Guy just talked to his parents and they do not yet have TV, but we kept them updated. LETS GO PATS! It was stressful but it feels good!
It really is stressful to be a fan of sports. You lose sleep, you yell and scream hoping the people below you (Zac and Sara) know it's about the game! LETS GO TEAM!!!!
Love love love being a fan!!!!!!!
Last week at this time it was a big night for us Sox fans!
Dear Lord we are so happy to sleep from here on out!!!!
Thanks Pats!!!
Snow?
I just spent over an hour and a half cleaning one of our two bathrooms. The second one can wait for another day. I went through my drawers and I have three huge makeup cases full of makeup. I am about to go through them, it is all the samples you get with the free gifts. I no joke have about 50 lipsticks, I think I need to down size a tad. My mom is so wonderful she buys her makeup and then gets the gifts and a lot of times she gets two and I get one and she goes through hers and gives me what she doesn't want. Love her for that!
This morning I went to Starbucks and got my first hot venti latte of the season and sipped it as I strolled through Target at 9 this morning. My kind of morning. Though my parents read my blog now and then, I really should have posted I was in mass at 9am. Then I picked Music Guy up at the gym and we went to the store, hit Home Depot, washed the Jeep inside and out and then home to do the same.
Now it's game time and that's it for the rest of the day!
Hope you guys had a great weekend! 4 day week for me next week. Friday morning we're (along with MG's parents) are headed to Madison for the Wisconsin vs. Michigan football game. GO Bucky!!!! More about that later in the week!

Fog Happens
The weather here in the Northeast is nuts. In Boston it's not as bad is on the Cape, Music Guy's parents lost power this afternoon. So we're not heading down this weekend. I was really looking forward to it, but weather happens.
Though it's pretty cruddy out it didn't put a damper on our dress outting this morning. I am sticking with the dress I orginaly thought, which is another thing off the wedding to-do's. Every one seemed to be a fan of the dress so I know the two who could not be there will be also. Speaking of they will send out sample dresses to bridesmaids who do not live in LA, DC or Boston and can not make it to the store. So i'm very happy my MOH will be able to try on the dress before we place the order!
We headed to Joe's on Newbury after for lunch. I just love that place. (i'll add links when I get to work, blogger doesn't work well with our Mac, or it's user error). A of Fave Couple and I hit H&M after to check out maternity clothes...Yep A is preggers! And get this their baby boy due on my birthday! Also any day now another friend of ours will have their second girl!!! It's the year of weddings and babies, well I guess it's the age we are. Everyone knows about that! We did a bit more shopping and had a wonderful afternoon. Isn't any afternoon wonderful when you buy two new pair of shoes?!
Hope you're having a great weekend! And if you're on the Cape, hang on it's windy out there!

Enjoy!

Random question and thoughts...
What are the odds that JCrew will do a 20% off sale items soon?
We had a very nice Halloween, though walking on cobblestone and brick is not ideal for me at the moment.
We're going to Aria this weekend to have three of my lovely bridesmaids check out the dresses I think I've decided on! I say think because I had one bridesmaid back out and it kind of has throw me for a loop on things. I had my head set on the dress/idea (mainly because they would get a discount) and now that i'm down one they will not recieve the discount. But I like the dress and will wait to see what the girls say on Saturday when they see them.
Either Saturday night or Sunday morning we're going to head to the Cape to get out of the city which seems like it's been forever.
Major reorganization in my company, but my line of business is fine. And those of you who know where I work don't worry your assets are fine! But it really sets the mood for the people around me.
Major reorg needs to happen with my closet and STAT.
That's all i have for now!

Happy Halloweeeny
The hoof is hanging in there, annoying more than anything really. Oh and painful!
I think I'm the only one wearing orange in my office, don't people dress for Holiday's anymore? Like red on Monday for the Sox, and some sort of turkey pin for Thanksgiving? But to paint the right picture, I have on a orange JCrew cashmere sweater with a black suit. The festive pumpkin sweater is for tonight! :)
Hope you and your family have a good Halloween, I can't wait to see pictures! Of kids and dogs! Speaking of, I've seen 4 dogs in costumes and not one kid?/!
Short and sweet, i'm all over the place this week.

Keep rollin' rollin' rollin' rollin'
Reason 987649048938 why I love living and working in the city. In '04 the victory parade was on a Saturday, but today is the parade. But no sweat I work about a good 7 minute walk from where the rolling rally ends. Yes it will be insane but so worth it!
I'd like to add a few of the headline and links from Boston.com (though I am more of a Herald fan)today:
Parade Route
Possible Papelbon dance locations
Sneers and loathing in NYC
Boston ready to paint town red
The Possible Paps dance locations really cracks me up! I can't wait to see the team and the Mayor do the River dance. Big shout out to The Dropkicks for their press during the Sox run!
Not much else to report, worked wicked late last night and hope to not to have to do the same tonight. But we're heading to a little Halloween party so it's worth it to get out early tomorrow errr...5pm.

Thank you Red Sox!
Our weekend started out with a nice dinner with Music Guy's family at Figs. If you live in the area and have never been I suggest you make a reservation there soon. The Charlestown location is the original and slightly larger then their Beacon Hill location, but both are pretty tiny but worth the wait!
The rest of the weekend I laid low and rested my foot, which by the way is getting better. It's funny how staying off of it really helps the healing process. The Sox games were unbelievable, Red Sox Nation is one happy bunch today! Or as Fox likes to call us just "The Nation", very fitting! Bring on Rolling Rally II!
The Sox played in 14 playoff games times that by 4 hours per game = 56 hours of playoff emotion in the month of October. If you really want to get into the numbers us Sox fans have devoted this season they played a total of 176 games many of which went into extra innings and rain delays. Keeping up with the same numbers that would be 704 hours of Sox baseball from April to October! No I didn't watch every game but did know what was going on during most of ones I was not able to watch. We do love that dirty water!!!
All I really need to say about the Pats is you can "run up" the score any day in my book. If the NFL(teams and coaches) is going to say you only won THREE Super Bowls by cheating then what can you say about 52-7 and the fact they have not scored less then 34 points all season oh yeah and haven't lost! thankyouverymuch.....
I had an extremely intense meeting first thing this morning (perfect timing after going to bed on the latter side of 1am) and the week seems equally as insane. But hey we're World Champs! And my boy Mikey Lowell is the MVP! (I would post a link but it's taken too long on the Boston Newspapers sites, a lot of work getting done today it seems!)
Another positive about a crazy Monday is I'm wearing pink and an argyle sweater!

What is with people...
I thought being called out for my Equal was a bit much. BUT that is nothing compared to some random lady asking me why on earth I would wear a heel while in my boot. Who cares about my choice of footwear on a foot that is just fine. If you expect to see me hoofing it in tennis shoes and a suit (only for commuting in my book) around the office you're crazy. And another thing the boot is a heel in itself.
Not much to update on the wedding planning front. Our engagement party details are pretty much set. It's going to be in January so it will be something nice to look forward to after the the holidays are over.
Here's to a great game tonight!!! Giddy up!

You do this right?
10 hoursto first pitch! I'm ready!!! There is a little rain in the forecast but it doesn't look like enough to postpone the game, which God knows would not be good for us working Sox fans. And God's a Sox fan so we should be fine!

Guess what's back....
Yep....it's back on. In honor of the Red Sox I have a baseball err...softball size ankle. I think it'll heal quick, hope so before I go home in two and a half weeks. In the mean time I'm a taking it easy.
Awesome I know! Hey my co-pay for the boot was about $400, guess I'm getting my moneys worth.
I'm trying to update my blogroll, I've added a few but have been meaning to add more. Let me know if I do not have you added!
It's really hard not to think about the Sox game tomorrow night, and I'm more than 24 hours away from first pitch. Focus...Focus....

Paper Source
Not so quick....We got home and the paper we picked out was different than we thought. It was as thin as printer paper. So Sunday afternoon I headed back to the Back Bay to get heavier paper. They do not carry the circle paper in white in anything other than normal paper weight. Which means I had to buy a circle cutter and bigger sheets. Which is fine expect for the dumb bunny who helped me showed me the type I wanted but decided to sell me larger paper of what I had just returned.
But the second time wasn't a bust, I spent a good hour plus looking through all of their books of invites. It is a lot easier to choose when you're looking at it in person rather than on line. I found some really clever ideas and a lot of really stupid ideas. Cowboy boot anyone? I also wrote down some of the couples websites to stalk their wedding site for even more ideas. I was disappointed in some of the couples. I was imagining them to be a little more classy but it looked like they only got their invites right. Very strange. So at some point this week it's back to return the paper.
We had a great weekend. Got a lot down around the our place (i'm having company next weekend so i've got to make sure it's up to par for her). Friday night we headed to Ironside in Charlestown with the Hicksters to watch the game. Even though we got their an hour before the game was to start we still had a good 10 people a head of us for dinner. We ended up watching a few innings and heading back to our place and getting pizza. Which I think is just as much fun! It was so crowded I felt i was getting hip checked every two seconds. Some dude figured the way to get my attention to move out of his way was to push me in the back and then to stand there as I didn't move the the side he preferred. At that point I just looked at him and said F'in go around me. So I was not apposed to leaving after another 20 minutes.
Saturday was housework said paper trip and the Sox. We went to Lir on Boylston St to watch the Sox. MurDogs sister had reserved tables and it really was a pretty good place to watch the game. We knew during the 8th it was going to be a long game so we shared a cab with A & B of Fave couple and headed back home to stay up until almost 2pm to watch the Sox lose. That sucked. BUT they'll come back tonight! Great Pats game, this team is the real deal!!! Fun as hell to watch.
Am I the only person who still watches Desperate Housewives?
Also Am I the only person who watched Keeping Up with the Kardashian's on E?
LETS GO RED SOX!

My MOH dress...
They are Bill Levkoff black with a black sash. They are super cute and will look great on everyone! And being two pieces we'll be able to mix and match for Christmas parties or any formal event. Which who could not be a fan of that idea!

There and back.....
This is going to be a great week, I can't wait until Friday evening.
I had a great QUICK trip home, some much needed quality time with Liane!
I ran by the store to pick up a veggie tray (no joke was only $7.99, where as here it is $17.99) and found myself very excited to see Wisconsin Cheese!
We had such a great evening!
Bride and Maid of Honor....."Now it's only down to 15 choices..."
We meant business!!!
You really just saw my whole weekend back home, it was that quick. I'm looking forward to going back in a month with Music Guy and his parents for the Wisconsin vs. Michigan football game!

Can't talk people busy
Well the last quarter of the year has started and it was started with a bang. My outlook calendar is booked solid from 8-5 (ok fine most days 9-5). But since that is the case it means business is gong well.
I've gotten back into my gym routine this week after a few weeks errr month of slacking. Hey you try to get into a routine after being Cape, ACK and wedding bound for weeks at a time...back off! :)
Very much looking forward to the game tonight. I have to kick off a meeting at 4:30 and I think I'll run to the gym after for a quick workout and then walk home and be set for the Sox game by 6:30. I also have to run by the store and pick up chicken sausage, peppers and onions to make the Kimba (more Music Guy) famous Fenway Sausages.
Exciting stuff I know people.
I discovered you can watch some of the hold episodes of The Hills and Life with Ryan onDemand. Two shows I only knew of but never watched. But thanks to our housemates on ACK I am hooked. Yes that's correct we spent some of our beloved time on the Island catching up with LC. I never watched Laguna Beach so I've been searching the internet and asking those around me to fill me in. Sad very sad...Hey Kimba MSBNC called...it said cut the shit.
Hope you guys are having a good week, and are ready for PLAYOFFS!!!!!!!! (sorry Suz)

Happy Rally Monday!
Obviously the weekend was great, full of "housekeeping" chores, friends and fun. I was able to catch up with Grey's from last week, not a fan. Is Lexie suppose to drive you nuts? But I am a fan of ABC.com and catching up on the shows, our DVR is not working so i'm very thankful!

Meetings and dresses
BUT this evening will be fabulous. My mom and I are going to L'elite on Newbury as I've been eyeing this Watters dress for months. It actually was one of the first dresses I ripped out of a magazine. Hopefully I won't be disappointed, regardless it will be a great "night out" with my mom! And then tomorrow evening we're heading West of Boston to do some more dress shopping. She is only here for a few days so we're packing in a lot! Which is typically how I do things anyways. :)
Hope you Boston ladies have been enjoying this summer like weather!
Libs, the magic number is 2!!!!

Little wedding update
I will be using actual boat rope at the church with flowers and a lot of other cute details I'll fill you in on when I have them more set.
The difference with our Save the Date is we're going to use the "real" lines you get from the GPS (at Hyannisport). Which is three "numbers" not two. And Music Guy refuses to use "Chart your course", but that's just a minor detail so he wins.
Thanks to who ever Beth and Michael are for the tip!
Giddy up!

Mini Re-cap
This will not be much of a blogging week. I will be in and out of the office all week, and my mom is coming!!!!
I was really looking forward to this weekend as we had nothing planned! Friday was a house cleaning evening for me, no joke I was excited!
Then there was Saturday...
I had a lot of errands to run, normal Target, grocery store and the oh so fun car inspection.
I was finishing up my morning with a trip to Trader Joe's. I should know better then to ever go on the weekends, the place is always packed and annoying. I got to the check out had all of my items rung up and I looked into my tote and my wallet was not in there. I quickly ran to my car praying it must have fallen out. Nope, you guessed it while at Trader Joe's some asshole stole my wallet from my bag. I know it happened there as after I left Target I went through a drive thru and got a diet coke and used my debit card and then went straight to the store.
I have a feeling it happens often at that location. It's a shitty part of Cambridge and the place is always crowded. Also the manager was all to quick to come up with a solution. The lady checking me out called him over and he said "Do you want to file a police report" I said "I guess, I don't know what to do this hasn't happened to me before", replies "me either" and had the police on the phone in 2.5 seconds. And gave me my groceries and quickly asked me to wait in the parking lot. A bit pushy to get me away from other customers.
So I waited for the police to come gave them my info and story. One officer asked if I noticed anyone peculiar strange. I had to laugh and say "of course it's Trader Joe's" He laughed but I don't think he found it as funny as I did!
So that's that, I spent the rest of the afternoon dealing with the Bank and my Credit Cards. And trying to remember what I had in there. Here are a few items that I should not have stressed about but did.
Banana Republic Gift Card
JCrew Gift Card
MBTA Pass (Friday after work I stopped at Haymarket and added $25 to my balance)
Lilly receipt for a return that has yet to show up on my credit card for a credit
That's all she wrote on that subject, thinking about it makes me sick.
Sunday we went to a few open houses in Charlestown, saw a few we liked but didn't love the location. Music Guy's parents came over to watch the Pats game. And that is about it! A little stress but all in all a very low key weekend!
Hope you guys had a great one!
Promise to come back on a happier note!

City Nuptials
They had the ceremony in the room pictured below. People get pretty excited about watching friends get married on the beach. There is something to be said about watching friends get married over looking your favorite city.
After the ceremony they moved us upstairs (overlooks the view below) for cocktail hour. They seamlessly moved all of the tables (preset) out and set up the dance floor. Pretty slick!
She was one beautiful happy bride!!!!
J Lester, Kimba and A of fave couple. I am wearing my JCrew Lyndsey dress in Navy. If it wasn't so expensive I would use this exact dress for my bridesmaids.
Kimba, B of fave couple and Music Guy.

Wednesday 9.5.07
We got all settled in and A of Fave couple and I walked to Stop n Shop to pick up a few goodies for the house but mainly beach eats. The boys headed for a Miller Lite & Coors Light run. We got back and all sat outside talking about what a great few days we have a head of us. Mainly the Raw Bar party at the brides fathers house that evening.
One of many goodies were our Welcome Bags. I will have to post pictures of the gifts inside. They are to die for! Most of it is branded with their circle K! No one can top that!
Here is a great picture of the brides father's view of Sconset Beach and beyond. Oh and the raw bar. This house was breathtaking!
We left their and went to The Chicken Box, I was praying for a surprise guest to show up, but no luck! Maybe next time Jimmy!
