I'm a huge fan of my name, but I am not a fan of the "nickname" "Kim", I have no problem correcting those who call me that, when I introduce myself it goes from Kimberly to Kim in about two seconds. I do love the name Catherine, but not Cat, Cathy or Catie.

Grand Torino last weekend OnDemand - also please note my husband and I have NEVER gone to a movie in a theater together in the 5+ years we have been together. The last movie he saw in the theater was Old School.

Very often, I have weird faces I do all day long and I stump people I always seem to have a smirk on my face which is really just a happy smile.

Do you always answer your phone?
About 99% of the time, a lot of times I don't have it on me or it's on silent and or I'm on the bus and that's not a place for a phone conversation.

Can't tell you the last time I got a 4am text

If you could change your eye color what would it be?
I wouldn't, I have always liked my brown eyes, expect when I was in my tanarexia, bleach blonde, blue contact days, but thank heavens for everyone I got over that quick. But of course not quick enough for my moms sake!

I use to have a full on Midwest accent, now it's more midwest meets the east coast with a hint of some random drawl, so no I don't think i do! :)

Enya "Only time" - reminds me of my mom and our midnight trip to Provincetown in January with a full moon, miss those times

Ohhh man, a very snowy cold New Year in Boston we partied with Fave Couple and crew and ended up having a sleep over even though we do live just a few blocks away

chatting with the Cape Crew and friends who got back from a party - Cape Crew involves the 6 of us, MG's parents, sister and brother inlaw

How bad will the traffic be getting off the Cape (typical for a Sunday morning)

1) Target I worked in "softlines"clothes, shoes and accessories
2) Nanny for two boys 7 and 9. They would call me their coach as I took them to tennis, swimming, baseball and golf. And before each practice I would help them warm up, the best was when I would take them to golf. I would get myself a few buckets of balls and spend an hour and a half at the driving range. All the while I was getting paid.

Christmas Meme

1. Egg nog or hot chocolate?
Hot chocolate as I've never had Egg nog, maybe i'll change that this year. Next week at Starbucks i'll switch it up and check back!

2. Does Santa wrap presents or just sit them under the tree?
He wraps them. He starts out loving the idea and quickly remembers he's not a big fan nor very good.

3. Colored lights on tree/house or white?
White lights on the tree candles in the windows. My mom did this when I was growing and we do it now.

4. Do you hang mistletoe?
Nope. Do most people?

5. When do you put your decorations up?
If it were up to me i'd put them up right after the first turkey sandwich! But the weekend after Thanksgiving is good enough for me!

6. What is your favorite holiday dish (excluding dessert)?
I don't think I have one. Maybe ham but that's not really a "dish".

7. Favorite holiday memory as a child?
I have two good ones:
When I was young we'd spend a few days at my aunts 4 hours away from our house. She had a dog and I couldn't spend the night so we had to stay in a hotel (WITH A POOL!)! It got to be a tradition and we would rent out rooms and moved the party to the hotel.

On Christmas Eve my mom would let us open one present. I opened a Barbie that you could do her hair (it was like a head) and my brother opened a package of socks. My mom then let him open another one he could "play" with and I freaked out that he got to open two! Brother sister love!

8. When and how did you learn the truth about Santa?
Not sure. I have a feeling my brother spoiled it for me :)!

9. Do you open a gift on Christmas Eve?
Just one...

10. How do you decorate your Christmas tree?
With random ornaments and white lights. I will post a few pictures of my favorites. This year we are starting the traditional one new ornament a year! I'm looking forward to what we find this year.

11. Snow: love it or hate it?
I don't mind show, I loathe ice. Snow is great in the early months, come March it's warn off.

12. Can you ice skate?
I can. I wouldn't say I'm Kristi Yamaguchi by any stretch but i'm not half bad!

13. Do you remember your favorite gift?
My engagement ring last year was a pretty good gift!

14. What’s the most important thing about the holidays for you?
Being with loved ones. This will be the first Christmas ever I'm not going to be with my mother. But I'll be with Music Guy's parents so don't feel too bad! :)


15.What is your favorite holiday dessert?
Not a big sweets fan. But I do love a cheese tray! Cherry pie if I have to pick a dessert.

16. What tops your tree?
A bow. We did it again this year...We're trimming the tree and think oh crap we forgot to get an angel. I really need a reminder at the end of the season to pick one up on sale. Anyone want to remind me!

17. Which do you prefer, giving or receiving?
I LOVE shopping for people. Mainly the guys in my life, guy stuff is just more fun to pick out ot me.

18. What is your favorite Christmas song?

19. What is your favorite Christmas movie?

Chevy Chases National Lampoon Christmas Vacation. I kid you not, my family has worn out about two VHS tapes. We just love it!

20. What would be the best gift you could receive this year?
That's a great question I actually need to get on that. A new TV would be great!

2) I love to clean my bathrooms...yep...I have all of the products in both, no matter when it is I am ready to clean! But if you're over and it's not clean, sorry!

4) I never ask Music Guy if he likes my seersucker skirt or anything preppy, because he is not preppy, what does he know!

5) I could go weeks without coffee.

6) I can not go minutes without my blackberry.

7) I think I am a great driver, but i've been hit by a snow plow (in a NorEaster, not my fault).

8) If anyone was to ask me what my all time favorite blog was, I could not do it, unless they gave me a Miller Lite, I might then say Suz.
(She is on vaca, and will laugh the hardest when she gets back, and too loves beer.)

And I do heart the person who let me pee in her yard, and the gal who knew it was happening and the two ladies J & K who I wished were there to "cap the night off". BUT big big hugs to the one and only Coll, who is the greatest driver errr... gal ever (no really ever)! By the way, Coll and I live within 5 min of a JCrew and about 7 min of eachother...trouble?

Other weird things....

Since I've read all of your 6 weird things (5 if your Pink and Green Girl) it has made me think about other odd things I do!
So I've decided to update my little list!

Nothing bothers me more than putting together a cheese platter and having more crackers than cheese left over. I always like to have the exact amount of cheese and crackers. I don't sit and count out each one but i have a good idea of what is the right amount. If anything i would rather have extra cheese on the plate (hey I'm from America's Dairy Land)

Another big one is steak fat, i get so grossed out by the marbled fat on steaks i almost don't want to eat it at all. But knowing me i get over that fast and cut it off, but will spit (i know classy) out the piece if i notice it has fat on it.

On the subject of food, i am NOT a big salad dressing fan, I'd rather a dry salad than dressing mixed in it. You'd think it was for health reasons but nope, i just don't like the slippery feeling. If i do have a dressing I'll have it on the side and dip the end of my fork in the dressing, but i hardly even make a dent in it.

1. I loathe taking showers, a perfect weekend would be to wear lounge clothes and not shower until Monday morning.

2. I always have conversations with myself out loud, i have often catch myself while out in public.

3. While sleeping at night I kick my legs around, and toss and turn. I need at least three pillows. I also need to have the covers wrapped under my feet.

4. When I replace the toilet paper i have to have the side you tear it off facing up. I have also been known to change it when i'm at other peoples houses.

5. When I was younger (1st grade) I tried to get my mom to change my name to "JC" (no meaning) because I hated "Kim" and "Kimberly". Now I love my name "Kimberly" but am not a fan of being called "Kim". (But do love Kimba)

6. I hate to read books but love to collect them.
