I actually met my very fav E for shopping, latte's and a wonderful mani/pedi. We've decided this is going to occur monthly, it was a fabulous way to spend a Saturday, she is just the best! I just love love her!

The tote is from my boss nonetheless he clearly knows me well!

I got my new shoes on...

I'll be humming the Paolo Nutini "New Shoes" song all day well sporting my first ever pair of Tory Burch Reva's. I ended up getting the classic black with gold, but I have a feeling my next pair will be the Suede Navy. I've been been huge into shoes, also enjoy a nice looking pair but never jumped on the designer bandwagon. Well guess what, that has all changed! I also have a feeling these puppies are going to be addicting. Am I right?

It's the Patriot's fault, why you ask? I'll recap why;

This is how it all started, The Pats do not play until this evening so what else am I to do, I cleaned the house, laundry, did food shopping and went for a long run yesterday. Besides going to the gym or doing work I was out of idea's. I am trying to rest my hip as I over did it the last two days and it is killing me, I will be sidelined even longer if I push it. I promised myself I would not do ANY work this weekend even though I did bring work home with me this weekend, I truly needed the weekend off.

So I set off to Natick Collections this morning because if I'm going to be honest here, I miss Metro West A LOT. I use to live out that way before I moved to the city and I just loved it. I've even threatened to move in with E and her Ladybuys! Sorry sidetracked... Anywho, I figured I would just TRY on a pair of Reva's. I only really wanted to hit up the Apple Store for new ear buds, if you follow me on Twitter you know I have headphone problems, it's my ears...they're too small for the standard Apple ear buds. SERIOUSLY sidetracked...

This picture was taken for a little guess where Kimba is right now... and of course E guessed it correctly! Natick Collections was the right answer.
After a hard day of shopping I was ready to get back into Boston, I would miss city living way too much, I always remember that when I get out that way. Kickin' it with my new shoes and some football, blogging and tweeting. Happy Sunday indeed!
Ohhh I almost forgot, I stopped into JCrew to take a little peek at what they had, I was more or less looking for vneck t's for RJ, which do not exist ANYWHERE, unless you are looking for an mens XS then Banana has a ton of those. SIDETRACKED should really be the title of this post, gesh!
I scored this super cute jacket for $79.99, very very on sale. I knew I had a gift card in my wallet so I figured I would get it, and it's perfect for work and winter. I went and redeemed my gift card and figured i would have to pay the difference, nope I still have $125 left AFTER i got this jacket. How on earth did I have a $200 gift card in my possession without me knowing? So A successful trip if you ask me. It's tweed and has ruffles, what more could you ask for?

Oh and while driving on the Pike coming home some stooge gave me the finger. How's bout them apples.

That's all folks!

ACK Night adds a "J" and a "W"

Had a fun evening with my gals and my fave little buddy Will!

Always always a great time.

In other news, RJ is finally home after spending the entire week in NYC, not a place for a Red Sox fan this week.

Also my Menu Monday was like this:

Monday-Wed Turkey sandwich and baked lays (but on Wed. half the sandwich was veggie cream cheese and cucumber)

Thursday: Fave A made very yummy pesto turkey burgers and sweet potato fries, the burgers were frozen from Trader Joe's i'm going to go there this weekend and pick up some. They were that good! You TJ gals should check them out!

Friday: Not going to lie, pizza

Being that RJ was out of town I didn't want to post this until later as i'm a bit of a nervous freak about being home alone. Don't judge, i can't be the only one who doesn't love to be home alone for a week.

Halloween in the City

Charlestown was rated the #3 place to trick or treat in Metro Boston. It was hard to get a good picture with all the people but I snapped a couple!

How awesome was this father son costume - feel free to use this one next year if you have a pint sized tyke!

AND is this not the cutest elephant - Will the elephant and Fave A!

The rest of the evening was spent in Beacon Hill which is always a great scene. Though John Kerry and Teresa Heinz Kerry were not handing out candy like they have in previous years.

And now it's Nov. 1st, wow!!

It is what it is...

I've been wanting to do this post since the twitter/blogger uproar. Not sure why this is bothering me so much but I want to get it out there and move on.

As most of you know people were not playing nice and there were some comments left on a blog that hurt some people's feelings and since most everyone commented as anonymous people are just assuming they know who was behind the "anonymous". I for one did not leave any comments and do not share the majority of the feelings some of you out there do. Seems there was a mass email that went around with names of people to "block".

I could give a crap if someone dedicates their entire blog to JCrew, Running, their kids, the south or even their fancy clothes, houses and cars. It's their blog and if you don't like it don't read it. To tell you the truth I read about 5 comments that were posted and decided it wasn't a place for me. And I also know that the person who started wasn't intending for it to be taken to that level. Hence the comments have been turned off.

But I will say there was one comment that I wasn't particularly pleased with, no one has any place to judge if someone lives with their parents. We do not know every ones situation and if I remember correctly there was a reason for leaving the big city and moving back home. And with that we should all be so lucky to be able to have a safe place to go if something in our lives change.

The internet is big enough for everyone to play, that's enough on that...it is what it is...

On-The-Go Mix

This morning before I went to the gym I threw together a quick "On-The-Go" gym mix, it could have been a bust, but it was suprising very motivating, enough to the point I was fist pumping while on the treadmill. But i'll chalk that up to the good pace I was keeping.

As requested on twitter - here is a list of the songs, it was on shuffle so the below order was not how it played.

Boom Boom Pow - Black Eyed Peas
I Gotta Feeling - Black Eyed Peas (this one came mid run and was key)
I'm Shipping Up to Boston - Dropkick Murphys
Poker Face - Lady GaGa
Right Round - Flo Rida (this will make every mix for the foreseeable future)
Stronger - Kanye West (was ok, but I may be over it)
Who Knew - Pink (another one that always makes the cut)
Mr. Brightside - The Killers (everyone MUST try this one, it is sure to please)
Love and Memories - O.A.R. (always like to add a little O.A.R.)
Live Your Life - T.I.

As I said, before I left the house I threw these together on my iPhone. I normally only use my iPod while at the gym as it has about 4,000 more songs then my phone does. But didn't want to bring anything more to the gym then I actually needed. No I do not use or check my phone while at the gym but was going to the store after and needed my "list". haha...as if I need to explain myself, judgey judgey pants...

Happy snowy Sunday from Boston, if you're watching the Pats do you feel Christmas in the air?

All Things Crock Pot

While googling how to make Pumpkin Spiced Latte's I found this great Blog

A Year of SlowCooking - it's great for all of us who love to use the crock pot.

I've linked a few I would like to try:

A couple of you asked about my Chicken Catchatori from Monday here's the run down.

While a lot of you had off on Monday I had to work but was able to work from home so that made working just fine for me. Ok sorry back to the catchatori....

Because I decided to workout rather then prep dinner (and or I forgot) I had to brown the chicken on the stove before I put it in the crockpot. I then cut up one red and green pepper and an onion. I used a jar and a half of pasta sauce which was just enough. I cut up the chicken placed it with the sauce and veggies, we also added fresh basil from the garden which may be one of our last time we'll be able to use it for the year and a little parm. I let it cook for about 4 hours, it was pretty good, easy and quick. If I was to prep it in the morning I would definitely have left it on low all day, I don't have a problem letting it cook while I'm not home.

I'll keep you posted if I make any of the above recipes!

I haven't thought past Monday. I'm working tomorrow but will be at home so I'll figure out the weeks menu then! I told you I'd be honest about my menu's or lack there of!

Hope you're all having a great weekend.

Until next year Red Sox...until next year...

I'll check out my fridge and report back tomorrow with the rest of the weeks dinner options!

Menu Monday = weak

This week will be odd with our travel and work schedules, but I'll give it a shot.

Monday: Smart Ones - Chicken Quesadilla; one of my faves though it be because it's "ok" to smear low fat sour cream on them

Tuesday: Cereal - Raisin Bran; my single girl meal as I'm flying solo for dinner tonight

Wednesday: I won't be home until late from a work event so I may add cereal or a turkey sandwich in here depending on when I finally get home

Thursday: Chicken something or other if i remember to take the chicken out of the freezer Wed night. RJ always whips up something impressive off the cuff.

Friday: We have plans, they're TBD but chances are dinner won't be at home

Though it's an off week, I said I would post the menu so that is what I did. I can't promise it will always be top notch and sassy but I'm at least being honest! :)

GO PACK GO!!!

Tonight is a big night for us Green Bay Packer fans...My beloved Packers will be playing the Vikings and Brett Favre this evening.

This is a CLASSIC tshirt from Sconnie Nation
"We'll never forget you Brent"...

There you have it, once you leave the Packers you're dead to us.

Let's go Pack!

Friday already?

It has been a super super busy week. But it's the weekend and what am I doing...blogging baby blogging.

Catching up on Days while getting some last minute work done for today. I'm cooked.

On a much funnier note we were talking about blogging and twittering at work and everyone is aware I blog but I don't tell me the actual site, I wouldn't have a problem with them reading it, but unless they ask I'm fine with how it is now.

While our happy blogging talk continued I brought up the fact I don't blog about work. And how I don't think it's good blogging etiquette to do so. Which then all of a sudden my boss was bummed out I don't spend my free time blogging about him and work. Ha! We can't access blogger or any blogs at work so if someone really wanted to read ATK they'd have to go home and read it.

Moving right along...I really wish I had more to report, but like I said no blogging about work so I really don't have anything else to say!

Sunday's Menu Mondays

The oh so super cute Mrs. Newlywed has Menu Mondays and I've noticed a few others of you play along as well, not to be left out of the fun I'm posting our menu for the week!

Now that we've said our final farewell to summer (tear) I am better organized to plan for a solid week of good, healthy options.

Though I have two nights I won't be home for dinner so I have a couple TBD's.

Monday: Chef Salad -
ham, turkey and swiss cheese wrapped together and cut into small bites - hard boiled eggs (I'll be boiling a dozen eggs this afternoon to have on hand for snacks or a lite egg salad) - light ranch dressing

Tuesday: Shake n Bake chicken, rice pilaf and broccoli - this whole shake n bake thing is new to me and it is mighty good and easy, rice pilaf is a personal favorite of mine

Wednesday: Low Fat Chicken Parm - light mozzarella, fresh basil from Kimba's urban garden. I won't be home until late from work so I am looking forward to having this for lunch Thursday

Thursday: TBD - I will be enjoying an ACK night with Amy and Cat.

Friday: TBD - Good change neither TBD options will be used.

TBD options:
BBQ Chicken - at some point I over bought on BBQ sauce
Boca Burgers - always on the menu
Fajita less Fajitas - peppers, onions with a little low fat cheese and light sour cream with other veggies

Well after looking at this, may not hold up as I thought, but nonetheless having this in mind made shopping a lot easier.

While typing this up we've been watching The Patriots, Golf and a Red Sox rain delay.

Also got a good workout in first thing this morning and had two iced coffees, was bummed we missed Mass today, the Lord knows our heart.

I'm keeping track of recepies on different blogs and can't wait to add them to my list of must cook meals.

Saturday = 294

I've been meaning to hit the "mall" and get few pieces to spruce up my fall work wear. I headed over to Cambridgeside Galleria as it's close they have a Macy's, JCrew, Ann Taylor and Banana Republic, easy peasy right? notsomuch. When did a basic suit become so tacky? And what is with black pants and the random buttons and pockets? And why is my size ALWAYS the one that is picked over on the sales racks? AND why do all of the sales people look so young and have no interest in at least saying hi when customers walk into the store?

So with that I came home with one ruffled white blouse I can pair with a suit for $29.99 from Ann Taylor. And with that I came home and went for a run - mid run I decided I would take advantage of living in a very historic part of Boston and climbed the Bunker Hill Monument. Now the last time I did that was last December, it's not ideal for us locals as it attracts many visitors and that does not make for a good workout tripping over people taking pictures.

What a nice welcome sign don't you think? I know I know 294 isn't a LOT of steps, but it's very narrow and you're pretty much walking in a circle on small steps with people coming down and behind you the whole way. (I would recommend not going on the weekends and not going when it's wicked hot).

Seven minutes later a nice view of Boston and the Navy Yard. It was a little packed and I may have "run" most of the steps so it wasn't as fun as it normally is...
So there you have it, that has been my Saturday thus far. I'm always pumped after a good workout so I'm busting out my Lose it app and am going to keep it updated, I'm a huge fan of keeping a journal though I'm not always good at the keeping it part.
With all of that being said I decided not only is it a goal weight or pace I find motivating, there also are more material things. So I'm putting it out there, I will treat myself to a new JCrew Navy Pinstripe suit. It melted when I had it in my hand today, it's far better then the Brooks Brothers suit I've been eying. We'll see!
Quickly here is a pic of me before we left for our anniversary dinner last Saturday! Navy ruffled wrap dress, white scarf and gold shoes...What is that I hear...oh yes you're correct those were indeed our wedding colors. All Things Kimba people...

***As I pointed out on twitter, that my friend is a grown ups solo cup.
Hope you're all having a wonderful weekend!!!

Aren't we lucky bloggers and twitters!!!

There are many many perks to blogging let me list a few:

1) You have established a creative outlet and can document it on line for all to see or for none to see it's yours so it's your choice!

2) You can follow and connect with people all over the world who share the same passions and loves that you do

3) If you're as lucky as I am you may actually be able to meet those people in person - and when you do if you're again like me you may have found some of your very dear "real life" friends and couldn't imagine your life without them

4) You all of a sudden seem so much more wordily then you did before you had a blog - "well my friend Libby who lives in Hong Kong just loves it there" or "you know my friend Lisagh who lives in Winnipeg has more Bananno's then any preppy gal I know" or "I hope the Mets win this game in honor of my friend Suz who lives in NYC she is a huge Mets fan" or "OMG my friend Sarah got engaged last weekend, she swore she'd never get married, but I knew she would" or "oh I'm bringing a case of wine to my Sis Erin's house in Richyville, MA to play with her two girls and her bounce house" last but not least I have a TON of friends in Atlanta, NC, SC, TX, IL, MO, PA, CA, MN, FL and all over the South and one sassy sassy gal in NJ I just can't get enough of!

5) OH and you get all kinds of great blogger/twitter discounts!!!!

Oh and if you just happen to look at the latest Vineyard Vines Fall Catalog you may see someone you know, the Kimba wedding party!

The cation says: "The groomsmen at the Jones' wedding in Hyannis Port looks pretty beachy keen to us".

Just so you know, before I put my Nantucket patchwork VV tote away for the winter I took the plunge and sprayed it down with oxyclean and threw it in the waster and it came out perfect, it took the summer/sand/beer smell out of it...sad but needed to happen!

If those reasons don't keep you blogging I don't know what would!

Happy preppy shopping!!!

Don't knock it 'til you try it

If you've ever watched Drop Dead Diva on Lifetime you can't tell you didn't love it! Or at least find it kind of funny. I've been enjoying Sunday evenings at 9pm because of this little gem.

It's cute, witty, mindless and darn right funny! If you haven't had a chance to check it out you I would recommend it to all of you. Also those who have onDemand I've found they have most if not all of the current season on there.

I've never watched Tori and Dean until about a month ago I saw it was on Oxygen onDemand while I was on the elliptical and I couldn't take clips of watching Teresa flip the table one more time. So Tori and Dean it was...oh my gosh those two are hilarious, I love it. I know from twitter a lot of you already watch it, but if you don't you're missing out big time!

I will admit I cried once or twice while watching Biggest Loser last evening, how can you not cheer for the whole group! I think they have a great group this season.

Well there you have it a little tv chatter!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY RJ

Happy Birthday to the most wonderful, giving, smartest and way too hilarious for his own good husband...

When the one you love does not like cake or sweets of any kind you need to improvise on their birthdays. So this year my cheese loving hubby came home to a cheese platter with candles.

Love you RJ!

Oh and because it's his special day, I'm officially changing his blog name from Music Guy to RJ, it's just more fitting!

So long Summer 2009

We wrapped up the last "official week" of summer on Nantucket! The week after Labor Day is the best week to spend on Nantucket and that is exactly what we did.

A quick shot of the new signs they've put up at all the beaches, a great idea of those who are not familiar with the Island. #19 is "Surfside".

The one and only "Turkey Terrific" from Provisions of Straight Wharf. A classic Thanksgiving sandwich and normally I save this treat for our Ferry ride home but I couldn't wait and ordered one to have on the beach, the sand crunch was free of charge. It's their #1 seller!

A full ACK recap to come this week. I'm happy to jump back into the blogging world, though most of "my" readers are on Twitter so I guess I haven't really been gone at all!
I never thought I would say this but BRING ON FALL!!! I will order myself a Pumpkin Spice Latte and love it! I have already done my tote to purse change over and was happy to do so.
OHHH and what better time to start blogging again with the new fall shows about to air! Wootwoot!

Quicky 2

A few pictures I took while relaxing on the deck at the Tavern on the Water. The white tent was set up for the Flip Flop Regatta which is one of the Largest Regatta's in New England. It benefits The ALLY Foundation. If you live in the area you may remember hearing about her attack in the news. I would recommend clicking on the link and checking it out, so so sad.

One of the best views of the city.
The sailboats crossing the finish line! I wish I had taken more pictures of the boats coming in, it was really neat. Also, the Vineyard Vines boat was there at the finish line taking pictures and tweeting about it!
I gave in and got the over priced Gaucamole and it was pretty good, not the best. BUT the little gem in the pitcher is the best Sangria I've had since Spain.
We had a nice time always great to have a weekend relaxing fun weekend in the city!

Cath and Kimba

Here is a picture from last night, hard to see because it was taken in the dark on my iPhone.

Cath is one of MG's mother's very best friends, may be the preppiest person I have every met, EVERYTHING she wears matches perfectly! And is always dressed to the nines! Oh and she is very fun and funny as all heck!!!

Quicky

I didn't realize that the "show me yours" was even going on this month over at Kelly's Korner, I thought I was so original! :) But I think i'll still get some pictures up of the wedding.

Speaking of weddings, next week a very dear family friend Jillian is getting married to the fab Jason, "J&J" sounds like a drink! She is such a wonderful person and I am so blessed to know her and family, will post pictures as I know it will be breath taking.

Last evening we had MG's fathers surprise 60th birthday party, it was indeed a surprise and that in itself is a huge success! It was at The Daily Catch which is right on the water in the Seaport, if you need to host a party I would suggest this place 100%, we had MG's surprise 30th birthday there and if they can handle that crew they can handle anyone! You say why have the two parties at the same place? Because it is that awesome and we figured he wouldn't catch on because there is no way you'd have it there also! Again success!

We're having a city weekend as we knew we'd hit major bride traffic at the bridge heading down to the Cape and about 20 minutes ago JJ updated her facebook status "8 mile back up to the bridge", happy that's not us! But of course we miss not being down on the water. SO to make up for it we're heading to Tavern on the Water in the Navy Yard for some cocktails and an app, it's about 97 degrees outside so where else should one be if not on the Cape! I'll post some pictures on twitter!

Not sure if I'm the only one who does this but before I go out to dinner or even go to any bar/restaurant I always check out the website and menu, I like to have a decision before I get there or at least a good idea. MG is the opposite, he would rather wait until he's there and in the setting to make a decision. Now i've been to Tavern on the Water about 50 times and I know what the menu is like but that doesn't stop me from looking at it this afternoon and what do I see gaucamole and chips for $9.95 doesn't that seem a bit pricey? I mean the calamari is $10.95, how is it possible it can only be a dollar more then gauc and chips. maybe it's just me. All this gauc talk I really want to get it, but have an issue paying much, we'll see!

Last week was a whirlwind. We flew to DC for MG's grandmothers funeral service, she was laid to rest at Arlington Cemetery, may have been one of the most emotional funerals I have ever been to, it was in the end very peaceful. The Marines were truly sincere, you could just tell in their voices. I'm getting chocked up thinking about it.

Well i guess this wasn't as "quick" as I was planning!

Hope you all are having a wonderful weekend!

What is your lunch bag?

One of my favorite things to make for lunch is "Burritos-less Burritos" or those of you familiar with BoLoCo Burritos Bowls, they include everything you would have in a burrito just minus the tortilla.

Here is a little run down on how I get this to be a yummy hot mess:

"Kimbarrito's Burritos-Less Burritos"

- 3 boneless skinless chicken breast
- 2 packages Success Boil in a Bag rice (brown rice)
- 1 jar medium salsa
- 1 can black beans
- 1 can red kidney beans
- 1 can pinto beans
- reduced fat shredded cheese (I use cheddar)
- low-fat sour cream

First I boil the chicken and rice, I put the chicken on first as it takes longer to cook thoroughly and I put both bags of rice in boiling water and those it says 10 min I find it takes about 12-13 min. After the chicken is done I cut it into random size cubes, salt and pepper after all is cut up and by this time the rice is finished, drain the rice and pour one bag into a casserole dish from then I start to add all 3 beans, salsa, sour cream, cheese and chicken, there is no laying it is more mixed together. After everything is mixed together I top with a little extra cheese for luck!

Sorry it is not the best picture, but believe me it is good good good! I dished out servings into lunch size tupperware containers and have been enjoying all week long! I love it is full of fiber, protein and flavor!

Also I had a little leftover and ended up using it as filling to make a quesadilla for a quick yummy dinner!

So there you have it from the Kimba Kitchen Kookbook, not sure it's a crowd pleaser but it's a house pleaser at chez Kimba!

Cheese and sour cream make any meal! And the oh so cute Nina at According to Nina suggested pairing this dish with a yummy margarita! I would love to cook up this dish and host you all with "Nina Margs" on the side!

Mad Kimba

So I may be the last person to "Mad Men Yourself" but figured it would be fun to post what I came up with. What you can't see is in my right hand I have a newspaper, so it seems I am in a night club drink in hand, with a Wall Street Journal. Well of course!

I've decided to do a some wedding post this month, thank you all for your feedback, I'll have to go through what I have done to make sure I don't repeat to many of the pictures and stories!

Week has been busy as can be but I have run (one day outside) each day this week and it sure is a great way to destress which is MUCH needed these days.
Hope you are all having a fab week!

Weekly Wedding Update?

I didn't blog much about our wedding after besides a post of a few pictures.

I was thinking for the month of August I could do a weekly post with details and of course pictures. I also hope to figure out how to get some of our wedding dances on youtube.

In a little more then a month we will be celebrating our 1 year of newlywed bliss. So why not do something fun as 1 year ago at this time I don't remember it being all that "fun". The month leading up wasn't too bad, but it was indeed stressful as we pulled everything together.

So what do you think? Why not!

Cheers

Vineyard Vines Love Vol. 39871

**Nothing like a little VV talk to break me out of my normally programmed tweets and bring my thoughts to blogger.

While sitting in traffic I looked down at my collection of Vineyard Vines totes and thought gosh I NEED TO CLEAN THESE PUPPIES! And I posed the question on Twitter and got a few different suggestions, one was to put it in the washing machine on gentle and that did the trick, one said to NOT put it in the washing machine and to spot clean it or dry clean them. I have spot treated them over the years and it has worked but to be honest, I just don't want to take the time over and over. And if at the end of the day that is what it takes, I'll do it, but why not throw the question to all of you (though most of you are on twitter, maybe I just want a collection of answers!)! If you have any tricks, suggestions or even horror stories please share!

To pass a little time I decided to try out intense spot cleaning on my VV clutch. Below is a before picture, believe me that things was DIRTY, I use it daily as my normal wallet and though it's a bit of a pain to always search through it to find my coffee punch card or whatever else I've shoved in there, I love it and don't foresee changing my daily use until fall/winter!

I sprayed it with Shout Advance, inside and out. I wanted to test out the inside too as it is the same lining as the inside of the tote bags.
This is a little flawed as one picture I did not get was me scrubbing it inside and out with my nails to get the Shout in and to hopefully get the dirt out (hands were covered in Shout, forgive me). I then filled the sink with cold water and submerged it while rubbing it together using my nails yet again. I kept squeezing out the water and making sure I was getting all of the Shout out once I could tell it was getting cleaner. Lots of rubbing and rinsing, you all know how that works.

Because it is so humid out, I figured I would let it air dry outside! If it was sunny out I would have put it in the sun, but the rain decided to YET again make an appearance so the porch was my only option. You can really tell it did a great job, not going to know for sure until it dries, but i'm happy thus far!

AND when you're on the Cape and you're passing time, what else is more fitting then adding a "Kimba Cocktail" into the mix. Vodka, Soda Water and a splash of Light Cranberry Juice. (Though you should really all know that by now)!

Figured it would dry better upside down!
Now as I sit back and enjoy my "Kimba cape Cocktail" I will wait for all of your tips on how to keep these gems clean! Also i'll spare you from suggesting to just buy a new one though it's a great thought and it did cross my mind, it's not happin' anytime soon!

Mini-Cape-Vaca

Tuesday morning I packed up 4 tote bags drove to work and couldn't wait to be done for the week! That's right, we took off Wednesday-Friday and headed to the Cape! We drove separately so at about 4:45 my bossed kicked me out of the office to start my vaca and away I went!

I had tons of traffic and pour rain for the full two hour ride, but I didn't care and turned on the radio and my iPhone charging and was rocking my way down Rt. 3 Cape bound!!!
The continued into Wednesday morning so we headed into Hyannis for brunch at The Daily Paper and to walk around the downtown which is something we would never do unless well we never would. That tells you how much we wanted to feel on vaca and to take it all in! This is my egg beater cheese and broccoli goodness! And of course my standard "dry rye", it was so good! Thursday we had to take the Jeep in to get an oil change, we only take it to the Jeep dealer down there as we want to keep her in tip top shape and they will have records of any work we have done. While waiting we headed to Osterville Fish Too and got a little lunch. I was so excitied about the coleslaw, and it was as good as I remembered!

Finally it was nice enough to take the Jeep top off and it felt so good to cruse around and give the "Jeep wave" in style! RJ formally known as Music Guy is proudly wearing his 2009 FIGAWI Sailing Mount Gay hat! It is not an easy hat to get, and I've already been told the "what's mine is yours and yours is mine" does not apply to this hat!

We headed to the beach for cocktail hour and I had to snap a picture, and then was made fun of, but hey, my mom would be proud! If you spy my neacklas, that was our fab bridesmaid gift from Sara's wedding, a true KEP classic! Some of you have asked about my sunglasses, they're RayBans, and not the typical ones you find, I've been searching for the link, so please stay tuned!

A perfect cocktail for the beach Sam Summer and a super cute monogrammed koozie! Thanks Liane!

A ride on the boat, no better way to spend a summer day!

It was too windy on Saturday to take the boat out, so we hit the beach, it was a great great day, and I loaded up on the SPF, more then I needed to, but this Irish gal needs her SPF more then you know!

All in all we had a wonderful vacation, and I'm not 100% ready to go back to work, but it's does feel fabulous to be home!

Very Proper Improper @BostonTweet

For those of you who either do not live in Boston or use Twitter, you may be a bit sick of hearing about BostonTweet, but get use to it. Kidding, I don't plan to have to many more post about it, but one never knows!

In the latest Improper Bostonian which is the Boston's Best Issue Tom of BostonTweet was pictured and @BostonTweet got a nice write up! And if you click on the link you'll see he used my picture and I got a little shout out on his blog, how cool do I feel you ask...extremely! So if you're local pick up the issue with Conan O'Brien on the cover and flip to page 19 and check it out for yourself!

Big cheers to Tom and @BostonTweet, much deserved!!!
