Lent

So this is what I gave up for Lent...

Pizza and diet coke... the first one will be pretty easy, late night is the only time I EVER eat it. But still it will be hard when it gets to that point.

The diet coke is/was the hard one. And yes this morning without even thinking about it I ordered a diet coke took a sip and said ohh crap...So here's my question, do I A) Say screw it and wait until next year or B) hop back on the Catholic wagon?

One more thing...where the pictures of Britney not freakishly scary? Grrrrr

I say start anew. Since Sundays are supposed to be the 'day off' from whatever you're sacrificing, you can use today as a substitute for Sunday?

I like how Suz thinks. However, if it were me I would probably say screw it because a. I am lazy and undisciplined like that and b. when there is nobody to turn to, there's always diet coke.

I think I need to get out of the house today, no?

I say stick with it. I know my aunt and uncle and their kids put a dollar in a jar whenever they mess up during Lent, and then give the money to the church on Easter. Maybe you could do that.

MC, that is a great idea! I think I will do that! Though I feel like i'd be a better person on diet coke like Erin said!

Suz, you're right..."day off"!

Hang in there is my vote. One sip doesn't count if it is an accident. It WAS an accident right?? Hmm??? I am going to give up Diet Coke too. I LOVE Diet Coke and can't think if anything else that I have everyday!

One sip doesn't make a sinner--it only makes you human.
You do better than me, I just watch my meat intake on Ash Wednesday and then on the Fridays until Easter.

Hahah, Kimba, just like me - I gave up Diet Coke & cookies and I'm just thinking I will accidentally slip - more on the cookies end, I reach for them like they are going out of style. Just start anew on Sunday, and think about my future sister in law - who gave up shopping!! eek.

I gave up all alcohol but wine for Lent. I am hoping I don't slip. Last year I gave up chocolate (almost died from withdrawal) and ended up with a piece of chocolate in a milkshake. I felt so bad! But other than that I made it. :) I think that as long as we don't slip on purpose it is okay.

And the whole Britney debacle is so painful to watch; child stars, ey? It ain't right, and I do hope her family can rescue her.

lurker here- I say keep on truckin' ;) I gave up candy and today had some Skittles at the movies- I mean how can you go to the movies and NOT have candy? So I figured ok- no more that was my one moment of weakness thus far. And they didn't even taste that good.
