Grande vs. Venti

Once in a while I will get a Caffè Latte at Starbucks. Today I got a Grande and realized there is only a 23cent difference. Now why wouldn't you get the Venti pay a little extra as it's only milk and it's good for you?

I didn't get home until about 7:45 last night, that makes for a short evening. I was on a mission to finish my Shopaholic Ties the Knot. It has taken me a long time to get through that one, I admit it was good but I feel it dragged on a bit in the middle. I was starting to get annoyed but all in all I enjoyed it. So am I right to assume Shopaholic & Sister is the next one to read? And then the baby? But I feel I might need a break from Becky Bloomwood, I read the first three in a row. I have the Lovely Bones to read but I am afraid it is going to be kind of a dark read.

Ok I started this at 9am and i've only gotten this far? Sad.....

Did you start at the start with Shopaholic Takes Manhattan?

I've heard GREAT things about The Lovely Bones. I recommended it to ND who read it and loved it as well. I still haven't read it, though.

I started reading Shopaholic Ties the knot. Then stopped because i couldn't take the wedding talk 24/7 in my life.
Then I thought this has to be a series (i know i know dauh) so i got the first one (Confessions of a Shopaholic) read that then Shopaholic takes Manhattan but i ruined the first two books because i knew she would end up with Luke and Suze would marry Tarkie and so on. AND then I was reading a message board about the books and found out there would be two weddings. And that was when I started reading Shopaholic Ties the Knot again. But stuck it out and am happy i did!

Long story for a chick-lit series!

I actually hated the entire Shopaholic series - rarely do I feel a seething hatred towards books, but for some reason, these? Yes. (No idea why.) Lovely Bones IS dark (really dark), but really really good!!

Probably best to read Lovely Bones before you have a child. I've picked it up several times at the bookstore and find I just can't let my mind go there.

I'm due for a little chick-lit though, so perhaps I'll put the Shopaholic Gift Set on my Christmas list. They look like a lot of fun!

I was able to check out all of the Shopaholic books at our library.

I think you're right, I might bypass Lovely Bones I don't think I need to read about that.

Lovely Bones is great. Just dont read it when you are visiting your grandparents and having to sleep in their basement. :) Also, I loved the Shopaholic series. I recently purchsed 2 other books by that same author, only she was using a pen name. Not a big fan of either one of them. (Cant remember the names of these 2...)

I haven' tead any of the shopaholic books. Might have to find a copy. But I love any of the books by Katherine Stone --good fast reads.

Lovely Bones was good too - yes, a little dark but very very good. I think you are right -- sister comes first and then the baby. I know what you are saying - I also had to a take break from Becky after the 3rd book.

I am a venti kind of girl!

I tried to make it through the first Shopaholic book with no success. The only chick lit I really enjoyed was the Bridget Jones series and anything by Jane Green.

Hey lover... I should lend you the book Lucky which is the first book written by the author of the Lovely Bones. It's a memoir and an excellent read. It's somewhat dark although humorous in a weird way!! I also have her newest book as well called The Almost Moon which I just finished. She is an incredible author and you will miss out if you don't read her at least once!

Also, you need to try a Jane Green book. I have about 7 of them at home so I'll get one of those to you too. I think you'll like them better than the shopaholic series!!

I thought shopaholic and baby was kind of boring. They all basically have the same plot. Lovely Bones was good. The author has an interesting outlook. I read it in one day.

I loved the Shopaholic Series! I also really enjoyed two others of Sophie Kinsella's: "Can You Keep A Secret?" and "The Undomestic Goddess".
