Feels like my birthday outside....

But no it's not The Ides of March it's only January 8th. It was nice getting up this morning and heading to the gym having the Jeep say 50 degrees. Speaking of the gym we went after work last night and it was so packed people were standing behind machines waiting for them to finish. Hey sorry if I sweat on you, but you're a tad close for my liking. I know it's the first of the year and they finally opened on Saturday morning but I can't wait for the novelty to wear off. Once a few weeks go by and people give up on their New Years Resolution I'm hoping it'll get back to normal.

I've had a few funky dreams the last few nights about Nantucket. Reading Sarah's post yesterday made me laugh out loud and remember my own dream. I was going to post about it yesterday but figured it wasn't all that exciting to anyone but myself, 9 times out of 10 those are my normal post! So here it goes: Sunday I had a dream I lived on Nantucket and communed to the city by the Commuter Rail. Now those of you who live in the area are familiar that the Commuter Rail picks you up in Plymouth. But no see in my dream I took the train from the Straight Wharf, that's right no Hy-Line the train. I think it was because before I fell asleep I watched the episode of Sex and the City when Carrie goes to San Fran for her book tour via train. I do not have a fear of flying, trains, cars or boats. But it was just very odd. Last nights dream was even weirder. We were still on Nantucket (not sure if i took the train there from the city) and we had to go to the store so we all piled in Jeeps and went to the top of a waterfall (which I've yet to find on ACK) and took a raft down the waterfall to the Stop and shop. Couldn't tell you what happened after that as it was time to get up. I told Music Guy about my two dreams and he so nicely sported one of his Nantucket Permit t-shirts in my honor to the gym.

Not that exciting, just odd! I'm over my head in work work work. That and I'm hoping to hit my work gym at around 4:30ish to do weights. Wish me luck! ha!

Also, I think i've just booked our DJ. As most of you could figure out the music is a big thing and we never found a band we loved. If we were going to have a band it would have had to be Martin Sexton and I think we found out that was about 10k. So a DJ it is!

Hope you're enjoying it being 60's...wow!

I am loving the warmer weather too! Although you know we're going to have a crappy cold March now, just becuase it's been so mild these past few days! (Or that's just my luck!)
I am also feeling you on the new years resolutioners - I can't wait for things to slow down at the gym, and get back to normal. don't get me wrong, I love to see new people working out, but it just gets to be too much!

I hate the gym in January. It's so packed and puts me in a bad mood.

We had a DJ at our wedding and it worked out pretty well.

I have gone to a gym near-by for the last two years and they never really have a set time of when they will be busy. I can never guess. I usually go between 11 am to about 3pm and I haven't really had a problem. But I have to admit it has been a bit more crowded this week than before the first of the year.

Argh, your updates don't show up in my Google Reader for some reason! Just wanted to share. Grrr Google Reader.

Also? I wish it were this weather ALL THE TIME. I agree with Red, it's going to be awful come march :(

Oh 60 degrees. I am so spoiled by this one day reprieve from the usual January shitty weather.

And not to hijack your comments but Traci I think when blogs are private they don't show up in feeds like bloglines and/or google reader. :(

It was nearly 70 here yesterday!

Were people right behind you on the machines? That would make me so nervous I don't know what I would have done! That's a bit rude don't you think? What if you had just started?!

This weather is the best...although here in CT it's starting to rain but it's still warm:) You're inspiring me with the gym thing...I started going again and am loving it...but I'm not loving barely being able to walk... I'm so sore:) Have a great day!

I drank rooftails last night and thought of you. Also, I LOVE Martin Sexton, the thing I like about the DJ is that that then the songs sound like they are supposed to, not Wedding Band's version of what they sound like.

I really don't like busy gyms, especially at the beginning of the year. I want to say, ok regulars can stay - everyone else, come back later!

I think the DJ will be great - we went to a wedding where they had the best DJ and Really made the dance floor fun (and played 80s music later on!)

I hate busy gyms. ALways feels like people are watching you workout. Give it a couple weeks and all of those New Year's resolution people will be back on the couch. he he

I always feel like my birthday has a smell too! So funny I have never heard anyone say that- mine is october and the wet leaves, fireplaces and end of summer crickets always remind me of my birthday and going back to college- ah the good old days.

Enjoy the weather.
