May + skirt = i'm freezing.

Thanks for all your fun comments you are truly the best!

I am doing my best to stay healthily. Music Guy is sick and everyone at work is hacking and thank god calling in sick. I am popping zinc like it is going out of style.

Not happy with the Sox game last night, hopefully tomorrow's game is better for our gal Libby.

In other commuting news: the bus was packed this morning and a lady was sitting on the outer seat so I asked if I could move in and she glared at me and said "I'm saving it for a friend". I was too shocked to even snip back with the really good come backs I thought of, while finding the only other seat between a guy who was on his cell phone talking really loud and a guy who was reading the paper and had both arms extended as if he was sitting at his kitchen table on Sunday morning.

I had a broccoli pasta Smart One in the fridge at work yesterday and when I went to get it at lunch it was of course missing. Stealing someones home made lunch or yogurt* is one thing but stealing a frozen Weight Watcher meal is a whole other. I have a tip for the frozen dinner stealer's. Go to Target and pick up your own they are a bargain at $1.77.

Now I know how E felt when her Slim Fast was taken, it's like for the love of god steal something worth it.

*no one better take my yogurt either

I know, I'm not supposed to be doing *anything* today other than stay buried in my books. But I had to pop over to see what was cooking at Casa de Kimba. And then, of course, I had to comment because you mentioned the game! The weather is supposed to be sunny and near 70! Hee-Haw! I'll make sure D. and I have a drink in your honor and, for gosh sakes, if we turn up in the background of your TV during the game call me and tell me so I don't do anything stupid!

Now get back to the books!

Oh gracious, when I just was imagining the possibility of my homemade lunch not being there when I got the fridge today, I think I would cry! It's been a morning buried in the library, and I am so ready for a lunch break. (But as you can tell I haven't been working ALL morning. One must read the blogs :)

We are having this problem in our office too! Everyone else has an understanding not to touch any food you didn't bring yourself without asking first, but one person seems to help themselves to whatever they want! I mean really, how do you not realize how rude this is?

One lady I work with has a mini fridge under her desk. All she needs is a lock and she'd be home free!

PS: The seat-saving lady was way out of line! What does she think the bus is, a kindergarten lunch table??

Stealing lunch?? That is so lame. I think my office is too small for that but I would be super mad if someone did.

Love the seat 'saving' people - its like they think this is the school bus or something. My fave is when they have their bag on the seat, I always ask them - did you pay two fares?

And the food stealing - I can literally put my name on things and someone wlll eat it, ahh the politics of working in an office!

At my old office lunch-stealing became such a problem that they threatened to fire anyone caught stealing a lunch. You would think the threat of losing your job would be enough to stop the stealers, but lunches still went missing!

HAHA, I too jumped on the "sunny spring day i'll wear a skirt train" too. and my boss thinks it's summer, so we've got the AC on at a crisp 68 degrees. Awesome.
Stealing people's food is so F-ed up, ESPEcially something that needs to be cooked!? seriously.

Yikes. . .no lunch! How rotten! A few years back I made such a fuss when that happened in my office. . .(for days I complained!) that everyone started to become the fridge police, and when anyone went into get something. . .everyone looked up and was aware of what was being taken. Problem solved, but then it is a small office. That sucks. I am sorry that happened to you. And the bus lady. Well people like that clearly show their intelligence, or lack of it, and it is better to just walk away, like you did. One never knows when someone is truly a weirdo and would snap. Well, let's see what tomorrow brings for you. Oh, when my lunch was taken. . .I went to the deli and got some great, way too fattening comfort food for solace. Hope you did too. :-)

Someone drank my ICOE Mountain Dew. That made me really mad, so I am with you. I tend to not put things in the fridge for that reason though.

The seat saving lady, I would have looked at her and said, I didn't even know we were friends yet, thank you! What a way to start the day. . . . .

put something horrible in it, like a laxative, or something foul tasting. Fix their wagon.

Debbie, don't be too sure - my office only has 6 people! Its pretty easy to narrow down the culprit!
