Take me out to the Ballgame

Tomorrow it starts, it all starts...OPENING DAY!!!! PLAY BALL!!!

I may tear up tomorrow afternoon watching our one and only Knighted Teddy Kennedy throw out the first pitch!

I would love to see the 2009 season bring us another one of the above pictures, Teddy going strong holding the World Championship Trophy.

This makes me think about summer and with summer comes a change in menu's, so if anyone out there has a good potato salad recipes please share! I made potato salad this afternoon and while it is still chilling in the fridge, I can tell it is sub-par.

LET'S GO SOX and cheers to the one sport that screams summer is almost here!!!!!

**Though we may actually see Opening Day on Tuesday, with the steady rain predicted.

I'm SO happy baseball is back! I root for the Yankees tho, so we will be hoping each other's teams do poorly! :p

Oh, Kimba, how amazing. I think about Ted Kennedy all the time and it is wonderful to learn about this! We love baseball too and although we are Cubs fans, love watching the Red Sox!

Let's get ready to rumble......
Happy Opening Day!

For potato salad, go to the food network and check out recipes by the Barefoot Contessa. She has some amazing offerings including ones without mayo!

Red Sox are home :) at last!! As for potato salad, Martha Stewart has a few, I think my favorite is called All-American Potato Salad - it's great!

Im an Orioles fan...at least we both dislike the Yankees! And funny enough, one of my good friends was the guy who "interfered" with Damon opening day! Crazy, right??

I have a great potato salad recipe, but I think its so personal...depends on what you like...eggs? celery? onion? pickle? mustard? I use unpeeled red bliss potatoes, hard boiled egg whites and chopped celery...and I mash the egg yolks into a "dressing" with equal parts mayo and sour cream, sea salt and cracked pepper. Sometimes I add a little dijon mustard to the dressing. Everyone raves about it, but again, different people like different styles potato salad! I hope you find a recipe you like :)
