Best and worst thing about being a MOH....

Giving the speech.....

I have to give a speech at my BFF Liane's wedding in 16 days. I am UBER.STRESSING. about it. I know it'll be fine but any advice?

So we just got Apple TV and let me tell you, it is the best! How fun is it to play the music off of your TV.

The shower was great this weekend and the batch party for Liane went very well! Some cute and not so cute pics! :) One funny story, we were leaving the first bar and one of the bridesmaids had to pee so she went in between two cars, I was there "helping" her. So out of the blue we see a guy walking towards us with a flashlight, yep you guessed it. It was a Cop. She was about to get a ticket and then another Cop came over and they ended up knowing each other...So she walked away with a "never do it again"!

OK, so any help with the speech would be very wonderful!!!!

Relax and speak from the heart. Nothing can compare to a honest, sincere speech. Good Luck! I'm sure you will be super :)

Oh, Kimba! My sister got married last summer and I was having major anxiety about the speech! I'm not saying drink to excess but I had a glass of wine beforehand and it helped take the edge off and helped me to relax a bit. Also it helped me a lot to look at my sister & her husband as I spoke; after all, I was there speaking for her and this helped me not to focus on all the other people listening. Good luck!

I found out I had to give a speech at my good friend's wedding 1 week before the wedding because her sister, the MOH, decided she was too scared too. DEFINITELY hit the champagne before hand. Don't be afrraid to write it down and read from it - it doesn't make it any less heartfelt. Maybe start out with a little joke to break the ice.

Don't drink before your speech!! You know far too many details of this gal's life and something unexpected just might pop out of your mouth that you wouldn't really want to reveal!! Remember your fun college days?. . .do you really want to chance letting something slip??!
