What to do...

As some of you know we're heading to Nantucket on Wednesday. So that means it will be after Labor Day. I have convinced myself that even though it is after Labor Day I can still wear linen, seersucker and white. No if ands or buts, i'm doing it.

In other news, we're not leaving for the Cape until tomorrow. Being gone last week, having guest staying with us and leaving for 5 days it might be a good idea not to be sitting in Cape traffic after a day in the office.

Speaking of our trip to ACK, A and B from Fave Couple, the Lesters and the one and only Murdog rented a house and we can't wait! I got an email from the owner telling us they have beach chairs and a cooler on wheels, I love these people!!!

I hope you guys have a wonderful Labor Day weekend!

And thank you so much for all of the VERY sweet comments, you guys are too much!

A few wedding pictures!!!

As you can imagine I have over 200 pictures, but to be fair to non bloggers I am not doing any real people shots until I get the ok! But Music Guy is fair game! Hope you guys enjoy a few I picked out. It was the best wedding ever!!!!!

Here we have Music Guy and Kimba. It was at a marina and every picture has a boat in it!

Now we have some of my hair shots

I'm getting a little touch up.

I will tell you all of us gals did perfectly with the brick with heels.
I dare anyone to find me a more Cape wedding than this. Getting married right in front of a lighthouse.
I love the place cards in the Nantucket basket with sand.

A view from inside the tent.

You would never know I was just stung in the eye.

The flowers were so beautiful.

I like how they didn't give people a choice they got both, I can never remember what I put down.

Lobster trap for the cards
A little fog rolled in but it set the mood.

Another view of the tent from the lighthouse.
View of the cocktail tent.

I will post more later! I hope you've enjoyed thus far!

BEE-uitful

I'm still on the Cape getting ready to head back to Boston. The wedding was out of this world, I can't wait to post pictures and fill you in!

One funny story...

I was stung in the eyelid by a bee during the father of the brides toast.

I was sitting right next to the bride so I took one for the team! Now that is a good bridesmaid.
I did not get up and tend to it until after the speeches. I hung out in the cocktail tent or a while with ice on my eye. It swelled up pretty bad but in the end it was just fine. We had such an amazing time, that bee had nothing on me!

I promise a full update from start to finish!

By the way I said to the Maid of Honor (who reads my blog) I can't wait to blog about this!

Wedding # 1

I'm finishing up a few last details here in the office and tomorrow morning it's off to the Cape for Music Guy's sisters wedding! We have been waiting a little over a year for this day and we are so excited and honored to be a part of their day!

I pick up the bride and we head to Logan to get one of her bridesmaids then it's off to the Cape to meet up with the rest of the ladies (sans one coming Friday) to get our nails done.

After that I'm hoping to get some sun to fill in a little tan line I have. But no worries, self tanner can take care of it. Tomorrow evening we have a little BBQ with the Bride and Groom and whom ever is down by that time.

Friday: we have our bridal luncheon and soon after we'll be getting ready for the rehearsal and rehearsal dinner, which I cannot wait for! And the hotel bar might see a few 100 of our nearest and dearest after the dinner!

Saturday: it's a normal day of, hair, make-up and getting ready for the best wedding we'll ever go to! It's an outdoor wedding and the weather looks wonderful!

Sunday: formal brunch and who knows from there! Music Guy and I do not have to be back in the city until Monday afternoon.

Have a great rest of the week and weekend!

Lots of love!

Cheers G & J!!!!

Music Guy's baby

Here she is, our 2007 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited!

Like I said on Sunday, my mom and I had to pick it up in Sandwich. I got out of work early and we took the trip down Rt 3 and 6A, here I am waiting for the plates to get this baby home!

Kimba giving it one last look over before we pull off.

Our Jeeps first of many times over the Bridge. (Note my mother is taking this picture while driving, she is crazy)

Music Guy about to give it a spin!

I'll have many more pictures from the wonderful Wedding weekend a head! Music Guy and I had a blast taking it to work this AM. One neighbor asked how we liked it as they rented one and now want to get one. People do love Jeeps!
A few things I have to get down:
1) Taking the soft top off
2) The Jeep wave
After I get those down, I'll be good to go!

VERY HAPPY

Well we finally have our Jeep! No not the green...but black! Which i'm actually happy we didn't get the green, we're planning on keeping this car forever. It' s going to be one of those old school Jeeps you see on the beach, and the green would get tiring after a while i'm sure.

I pick it up tomorrow! The only thing is we bought it on the Cape so I have to come back down here tomorrow night and then again on Thursday with the Bride!
Can't wait to post pictures!

I can't believe it's less than a week before the big wedding! We've had a great weekend hanging out with the Bride and Groom to be. Only a three day work week for me so these next few days will be uber busy. But of course i'll be checking in!

Hope you guys had a great weekend! Crazy here on the Cape it's been only in the 60's.

NOT happy

There are NO green jeeps left in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Yep, you heard it correctly...zero, zip, zillch...

Weekend recap on a Thursday?

HOWDY!

Thursday already? Though all day yesterday I thought it was Thursday!

So as for last weekend, we didn't go down Friday evening as it was suppose to be crappy on Saturday morning and we wouldn't be able to get out on the boat first thing. We had a fun evening in the city, stayed home and caught up on some DVR and cleaning! I was so happy when Music Guy agreed to call Suz, they had a very nice chat! Pretty classic.

Saturday we got up early and headed down to the Cape, stopped off in Plymouth to check out some houses. Though we love the area, we just can't leave the city and are looking for places in Charlestown to buy. That's a whole other post!

We got out on the boat in the afternoon and stayed til about 7:30, it was great, we got on some good sized blue fish but that was about it. Nice to be out, not a cloud in the sky and the water was dead calm.

We were super lazy on Saturday night, as some of you know I just finished reading In her Shoes and have not seen the movie. I went to a local video store on the Cape hoping to pick it up well...I walk in and the older guy at the counter tells me they're having a sale on adult DVD's, great thanks. Shocker they do not have the movie. I head a little farther down Rt. 132 and stop at the Hollywood Video look for a good 10 minutes can't find it finally ask they tell me it's in the Drama section, guess I should have looked there. Ok great, they have it I go to pay for it, "no I do not have a card, can I sign up" video lady "no, we're closing tomorrow and we can't take any more memberships". Fantastic, second video store and this movie can't be that good. So now I'm on a mission. I finally go to Blockbuster (should have gone there from the beginning) and they have it and I can rent it. Well it seems the last time I rented from Blockbuster was in Wisconsin so they have to set up with with a whole new account. And wouldn't you know the kid helping me has zero idea what he is doing...about 15 minutes later I'm out the door with the movie!

We decided we were going to order pizza, quick and easy. I stop by Jack's Pizza to place our order and have it delivered. I waited a while before they took my order, then the credit card machine was not working, so they ran my card about 5 times charging me all 5 times none the less, so they had to figure that out. Finally I had my order placed and I was on my way back to pop in the movie. About an hour later Music Guy says, I think you should call about the pizza, so happens they had it sitting there for me to pick up, even though I was charged the delivery fee and it said "FOR DELIVERY" on the slip. So after all that we got our movie and pizza and were in bed before 11:30pm.

Some wonderful text came through later that evening...errr morning! Thanks Suz, that's my girl!

Sunday we hit the outlets and I came up empty handed, which is a good thing as I don't really have room for any more clothes! Music Guy made out well on Tax Free day, thanks Commonwealth!

This is the last weekend before Music Guy sister J's wedding, he's already sending me 10-15 day forecast! :) We can't wait!!!!! One week from today the festivities kick off!

Happy Birthday!!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY to Music Guy's dad!!! Looking forward to celebrating next weekend!

Hurts to be pretty

I'm kind of bummed, I am getting my hair highlighted (read as bleached) and I had to move my appoitment up to 5pm so I can't hit the gym before hand. The last thing I want to do when I get home at 8pm is go for a run. So I've decided I'm going in the morning. That still kind of counts? And i'm walking to my appoitment so that will get the heart rate up!

I have a very busy week ahead of me, with an even busier week a head next week. I'm ready for it!!!

I'll post a weekend recap, fun fun fun!

Blister in the Sun

I went for a run walk yesterday afternoon along the Harbor and Seaport Blvd and was thinking I need to tell more people about The Daily Catch. It is a super great restaurant right on the water (for those of you in the Boston area it's right next to the Barking Crab) the outdoor seating is the greatest!

A few years ago we threw Music Guy a surprise birthday party there and it was fantastic. They do a great menu for large groups, the owners are top notch! Open bar...for a 30th birthday, it was over the top!

SURPRISE!!!!!!!!!

We're headed to the Cape tomorrow morning, and Sunday evening we're going to the Outlets!

***I got a bigggg blister*** Stupid working out

Thanks to Sharp Lily I scored the gold chain bracelet from LuLus Fashion Lounge for $11.86 including shipping. You can too by using her 15% code "sharplily" until August 23
Last but not least the shoes, simple gold heels

I have a pair of gold stud earrings that will top the outfit off.

Hope to keep the dress wrinkle free on the Ferry ride over! We're renting a super fab house that is close to town and not to far from the beach. I have so much going on before then I can't get myself all excitied, but it's hard not to!

Bride and 'Maid kits

Who better people to ask than my lovely blog ladies...

When putting together a little tote/kit for the wedding day can you suggest some items and goodies that were must haves? Of course the top of my list is double stick tape!

Wicked foggy here in Beantown...which means it's wicked muggy! God bless AC and venti latte's.

Boston Bloggin' gals night UPDATE

We have decided to push back the Boston Bloggin' gals pub crawl.

No date has been set, I'll keep you all posted as we get our schedules together!

In other news Music Guy and I might get lucky and go out on A & B from fave couples new boat this evening! Which means I will be able to break in my cooler! Nothing is classier than walking down Main Street and Charlestown's historic Gas Light District into the Navy Yard than someone pulling a cooler on wheels!

Hope to post some pictures!
