Red

I am sitting here getting ready to hit it (that's what we say when we're getting ready to go to bed) and I thought why not blog before a good nights sleep! I checked to see if any of my peeps checked out my blog and then for some reason thought hum...I'm going to see if E over at Pink and Green Girl has updated at all this weekend, and indeed she had! She had posted about Sesame Street and it got me thinking about what I watched as a young Kimba and I watched Fraggle Rock....And my family also would call me "Red" referring to Red Fraggle. So as any normal person would do I googled "Fraggle Rock Red" and found this is really why my family called me Red. I always thought it was because I had super Red hair and it was always styled in pigtails...oh no...it was a lot more than that... read and see.

Red - The Enthusiast

Red Fraggle is the kind of Fraggle someone watches and then says, "Now there's a really energetic Fraggle who knows where she's going and what she wants to do." And then, CRASH, Red runs right into a stalagmite. But that doesn't stop Red. It's certainly not her fault the stalagmite didn't know enough to move.

Moving is one thing Red never stops doing except maybe when she's asleep - but even then she keeps moving in her dreams. If she's not diving or running or sliding down the slide, she's balancing a racket or having an adventure or doing her job, which is cleaning the pool. Of all the things that Red does and does well(which, in here opinion, is just about everything) she likes swimming the best. Red's other bests in her life are Mokey, her best friend; Gobo, her best sparring partner; pigtails, her best hairstyle, and the Triple Sideways Over Under Back Twist, her best dive without holding her nose.

There you have it...Kimba a non stop energetic girl and then all of a sudden she smacks into something that shakes things up a tad but NOPE she just keeps on running (and or talking).

So yes after a 1am blogging session I have started to blog in the 3rd person!

I have found a new love in my life Bobby Flay. I was catching up on Rachel Ray and she had him on, i then went and DVR'd his show on Food Network.

We are watching the Breaking News on the boys in Missouri, this is so sad. A good sad. God Bless those families.

I finally picked out the dress I am going to wear to Music Guy's sisters engagement party, well hopefully! I am hope I like it. It is a final sale, though you can return it to the store and say you got it as a gift. That's for the tip Sara. Now that I am looking at it i'm not sure i'm a very big fan, we'll see!

A from Fav Couple came over last night to do a little wedding talk. It was a very fun time, nothing beats a little wedding talk and some Chardo, from Trader Joe's to be exact. Then B from Fav Couple made an appearance and gave us his two cents. They both are avid All Things Kimba readers, everyone wave HI to A & B!

Not much on tap for the long weekend. My girl Kate is coming over tonight to hangout. And then its all about waiting for the Pats game. Giddy up!

Only 2 of me

I got a forward today with a link to see how many people in the US have the same name as you do. And there are only 2 "Kimberly F" in the US, with myself included. Not bad! Thanks Mom!

Mail Please Come...

I am expecting my English Tea order today. It's like Christmas when I see a package in my mailbox from VA. I am all about supporting people who start their own companies, especially preppy ones!

I was looking on line at different invitation sites and I said to Sara I feel like I'm cheating on Chloe if I get something somewhere else! HA.
Just like i HATE to buy headbands because I know I can make them myself. I'm nutty about stuff like that.

I need to get my nails done they are pretty bad. I haven't gone in almost 2 weeks, oh no. HA. I am so looking forward to the long weekend!

Question...

I just had to take a picture of the "can" Music guy used to mark the spot for his sister to put the blanket. I never thought i would love a sandy Pepsi can as much as i do! :)

In other wedding news...Music Guy and I are sitting down to really put our guest list together. That should be fun! We are also waiting on a wedding packet to be sent to a place we are thinking about using. There are a few things we're not a fan of, but we'll figure it out. Hopefully in the next couple of weeks we can jet out there and look around. Woohoo the Vineyard in January!

Invitation Help

I am co-throwing an engagement party for a great friend of mine (i am the maid of honor) and I need a little help for the invitations, it is over St. Patty's Day so I don't have a lot of time to come up with something very creative, so just something classy to send out. Dresses

Here are a few very cute dresses that I am a huge fan of, Sara sent me the last two, she's so good!

As you can tell I am going for a blue themed wedding/bridesmaid dress. I do know i like this style, simple with a ivory/white sash. I like the first pictures shade of blue better as the guys will have a dark suit (I couldn't fight that one, I let him choose). A light blue with white polka dot tie, but not the one from VV as i was told it has to many polka dots.. Phhhleease!

The planning has started

I said before Christmas Sara had gotten me such wonderful gifts. She sure over did it, but i loved them all. I took a few pics of my favs!



Is this not so super cute. A wine marker set that is nautical! I can't wait until summer to have a white wine spritzer with one of these cute markers hanging on my glass while I'm sitting on our deck!

This is my favorite, i was just tickled when i opened this! She sure knows me!

She also got me a really cute famed picture of a lighthouse (which her guy picked out) and some other super sweet gifts. She is the best!

I'm on my way over to Music Guy's sisters place. They are always fun to watch the game with. I sure hope the Pats blow then away, i can't deal with a stressful game. I made my famous shrimp platter. I use two packages of 1/3 lite cream cheese spread it on a plate and put cocktail sauce over it and then put shrimp on top of that and drizzle more cocktail over it. Then use serve with crackers, yummm! :)
And being a Wisconsin girl I'm also bring cheese and crackers and of course Coors Light. I love FOOTBALL SUNDAYS!!! Now all i need is my fiancee gosh darn it!

I have a ton of pics to post, just no time. That'll be a work project, hehe!

I am keeping my setting. I really do love it, and it looks so good on my finger and it really is so pretty, i thought i "knew" what i wanted but i really think what i have is what i want! So that is what i am sticking with! And i love it!!! It really is ALL THINGS KIMBA! :)

Weekend

Hi all, well my mother and I got up and went to get a new setting for my ring and well no luck. I was explaining to the lady what i was looking for and she didn't seem to give a crap. I pointed out one that was close but said I'd rather have it look like this then that. She was terrible, kept telling me what SHE liked and what SHE thought i should get. I all of a sudden just said thank you and grabbed my mom and got the heck out of there. It was 10am and I was so close to telling her what I thought, but i just left instead of getting kicked out.

We went to Trader Joe's and then came home to keep cleaning and getting everything in it's little place. We went to the Container Store last night and bought some clothes bags to go under the bed, didn't take long to fill those up. We also got You, Me and Dupree OnDemand last night, what a super cute movie. I always see movies I'd like to go see but we never actually go out to the movies, something just doesn't seem "fun" about that.

It is 60+ outside and I think i'm going to go for a run. I mean when can anyone in New England go for a run (in shorts) on January 6th. I think i'll run by the Navy Yard and along the water. Days like this really make me miss Beacon Hill. Running around the Charles River was one of the best runs i've ever had. I could run over there it's not that far, but i'm thinking that won't happen!
