Thursday night kick-off party!

I flew into Madison at 9am on Thursday morning. It was nice to finally get there and get the weekend started! I had about 15 things I needed to get done and was so thankful my mom took the day off to help me out! Just Maid of Honor things and also a few extras for the wedding. Like my shoes! Which isn’t the smartest because if you’re going to be wearing heels all day you’d at least like some time to break them in. But no, not if you’re me! Here are a few shots from the first night!

Maid of Honor and the Bride

Of course a picture of me and my mom! Who i dubbed as my personal attendant for the weekend! My mom was so great all weekend long, running with me and running around for me! Note, my jacket was $37 at JCrew, i got it over the 4th of July. I just love it! A bit bright, but i'm a huge fan. I did get a few strange looks that night, seems it's more of an East Coast look!

Hi all, i'm back from the most perfect wedding weekend. It will take a few days to do a proper update. I have a ton of pictures i'm waiting for my mom to upload and i'll post them!

Liane planned the greatest weekend the weather and everything was perfect!

By the way according to Music Guy I knocked me speech out of the park!

Best and worst thing about being a MOH....

I have to give a speech at my BFF Liane's wedding in 16 days. I am UBER.STRESSING. about it. I know it'll be fine but any advice? 

So we just got Apple TV and let me tell you, it is the best! How fun is it to play the music off of your TV. 

The shower was great this weekend and the batch party for Liane went very well! Some cute and not so cute pics! :) One funny story, we were leaving the first bar and one of the bridesmaids had to pee so she went in between two cars, I was there "helping" her. So out of the blue we see a guy walking towards us with a flashlight, yep you guessed it. It was a Cop. She was about to get a ticket and then another Cop came over and they ended up knowing each other...So she walked away with a "never do it again"! 

OK, so any help with the speech would be very wonderful!!!! 

My MOH dress...

I wanted to quickly show you the dresses Liane picked out for her fabulous bridesmaids!

They are Bill Levkoff black with a black sash. They are super cute and will look great on everyone! And being two pieces we'll be able to mix and match for Christmas parties or any formal event. Which who could not be a fan of that idea!

I had a great QUICK trip home, some much needed quality time with Liane!



I ran by the store to pick up a veggie tray (no joke was only $7.99, where as here it is $17.99) and found myself very excited to see Wisconsin Cheese!
We had such a great evening!

Liane decided on a super cute bridesmaid dress! I have some pictures but i'm going to try to find it on line and post!

You really just saw my whole weekend back home, it was that quick. I'm looking forward to going back in a month with Music Guy and his parents for the Wisconsin vs. Michigan football game!

Awww, one of the main reasons I miss Wisconsin. Here is the lovely bridge-to-be (with her "lovely" maid of honor) at her fabulous engagement party this weekend!

I'm back! Catching up on the billion of emails that were waiting for me as my freakin' Blackberry died on me!

My time home was wonderful and the party was a huge success (if I do say so myself)! I have some party pictures of the wonderful bridge with her maid of honor (me)!

I had a great birthday, Music Guy of course made it very special!

One smokin' Maid of Honor

A weekend recap is forthcoming!

I wanted to quick jump on and show you the dress I'm planning on wearing for the Engagement Party I'm attending in Wisconsin this coming weekend for my wonderful friend Liane! She is a wonderful bride to be. Her Maid of Honor is 1,500 miles away and even though I feel I haven't put all my effort into my responsibilities she is always telling me how great I'm doing and I'm just the perfect Maid of Honor! Awww! :)

That being said I found this super cute dress from Ann Taylor this weekend while I was returning a very cute and way over priced sweater to JCrew. One thing that made me really think "you do NOT need this" is when I was watching Entertainment Tonight with Lara Spencer and she was wearing it. I thought hum...this C list celebrity has the same sweater as I do, nope not happening and I forced myself to return it!

Anywho, back to the dress. I didn't try it on as I had come from the gym and thought it would be a bit wrong to put it on and get it all yucky!

For some reason I really love it. I have one similar from JCrew but that one has smaller polka dots and is a few years old so if you're going to host a party you better look good! Right?

My mom and I are going to look at wedding dress this weekend while I'm home, should be fun right? I need to do some self tanner or I'll blend into the color of the dress.

Giddy up for great weather this week!

Just like our fave Monogram Momma it is also my birthday week, I'm trying to think of a fun treat to bring into work but everything seems to annoying to haul around on the bus. Maybe Music Guy will drive me? Yeah right! Or I could be normal and just pick something up downtown when I get here, but that seems to defeat the purpose!

I'll check back in and give you the low down and recipes from the weekend!

Another ETP classic

I contacted Chloe over at ETP to see if she would make custom engagement party invitations for Liane's wedding!
And did she ever! They of course look so much better without the info blacked out but i have to protect my girl ya know! I am so pleased with how every detail is perfect and exactly how I wanted it. But what was the best was Chloe sent me a few different styles, fonts and layouts and gave me her input to help me choose the perfect invitation. Hope they all love it as much as I do!

Invitation Help

I am co-throwing an engagement party for a great friend of mine (i am the maid of honor) and I need a little help for the invitations, it is over St. Patty's Day so I don't have a lot of time to come up with something very creative, so just something classy to send out. I know you are all very creative so i came here first!
