What will they think of next?/!

I am more of an Equal gal myself but I saw an add for this last night and wondered if you Splenda users will switch? Claims to have the same taste, I think it's a great idea!

I am hoping to add more pictures very soon, I am trying to get them all on one site for easy upload!

It is suppose to be the last mild day here in Boston, I feel torn...should I be bummed that it will be getting colder and colder or am I looking to embrace the fall/winter? For now I think I'm going to embrace the fall and tackle winter when it gets here!

Just sayin'

I know many of you are amazing cooks and wouldn't even think about take out but this is too good not to blog about.

Foodler

What are your thoughts?

Hair on the dog?

The lovely view I had while on the bus heading to work this morning!

Now I see people drinking on the street all the time but doing on a packed city bus...Really? Normally they're sitting in the Commons on a park bench or on the sidewalk on Arch Street. For some reason this threw me for a loop this morning.

Quick HI

I hope to load more pictures very soon.

With Market conditions it's been tough to break away, but I will have some time this weekend!

Speaking of the Market I am currently very luckily to be working at one of the top firms in the industry on both Investment and Banking. But don't get me wrong it is still scary as hell no matter where you work or what you do.

Hang on out there!!!! As of now the Dow is up!

Be back soon!

Wedding Weekend Vol 2.

And the day begins! We went to Serenity Salon and Day Spa in Marstons Mills, I was very impressed with everything! A big plus is that you have the whole Salon to yourselves!

I guess I succeeded on keeping my hair long for the big day.

Early for a close-up like this, but you need pictures of every step of the way!

My flowers!

The bridesmaid flowers, they didn't turn out exactly how I wanted, but I also wasn't too pickey about how they looked.
One of my many "something blue", as most of you know Carolina Herrera adds this touch to each of her dresses. They use the first letter of the brides first name.
The lovely Kate posing with our trolley "Katie"!
The guys!
The ladies pulling up to the church!

Final touch up before we enter the church.
The two best flower girls ever!!!
So darn cute!
Aww, it meant so much to me to have both my parents walk me down.

Hug it out.

I just love this picture, I just didn't love kneeling in that dress.

I really thought I was going to trip rounding the Holy water.

Awww, Mom!!!

Great family picture, my father, mom and my brother!

And now my new family!!!

The trolley time was awesome and so much fun!

Fave A & B

I took a second to look at my dress before dropping it on the ground and sand.

Bridesmaids, bouquets and beers

We had the most entertaining wedding party and a pretty nice backdrop!

How much better does it get using a dingy as a prop while on Hyannis Port Beach

Two maid of honors, one best man, one newly married couple and a dingy!
The girls and Ted Kenndey's sailboat about to sail past!
Mr. & Mrs. Music Guy
Hyannis Port

I'll post the party pictures tomorrow!!!

Hope you enjoyed!

Wedding weekend vol. 1

HI HI HI!

I'm finally able to upload some pix, these are just a few shots I thought would tell a good story from the weekend!

One of the many speeches given throughout the weekend, here is Music Guy and I Thursday night welcoming everyone who came down early to kick off the weekend! I'm wearing "pinky" and drinking a Cape Codder out of a solo cup, I kept it classy!
Moving right along to the rehearsal, I will spare you the normal rehearsal pictures of everyone lining up and all that good stuff. Oh and I'll spare showing you the pictures of the wedding party standing around waiting for the cough bride cough who was late. Though I came with three of my bridesmaids so it couldn't have been my fault!

Speaking of bridesmaids, here is a picture of a couple of them (focus on the two brunette) they were giggling through the whole thing it was pretty funny to watch the two of them. The two flower girls were better behaved then they were, i loved it!

The lady to the right works for the church and was well, not very pleasant. After the rehearsal JJ told her she was sorry for giggling and that they'd be fine tomorrow. In which JJ was then told there is no drinking on the premises. Ok then.....

Off to Asa Grill on Main Street in Hyannis for a uber fun rehearsal dinner!

My wonderful Maid of Honor Liane and I! Oh and my glass of wine which by the looks of the picture above and below never left my hand.

Oh here I am sans the glass! We gave our gifts out and each had a little something to say, speech #4 I think for the weekend. And the bags did have our wedding logo on them. I was able to get stickers made and tagged anything I could!

Kimba and Mikey back at the hotel bar!

Yeah Fave A and Kimba!!!!

I swear that is a small table, not just a whole lot of beer bottles. The crew hanging out at the hotel bar!

After this last picture I really don't think there is much need for any other ones from that night!

Next up the day of!!!!

HOLA

Checking in from Spain to give Suz a BIG thank you for her guest blogging! She has set the bar pretty high for when i return!

We're having a great time and are very much relaxed! It's rained on and off for the last day but cleared up enough yesterday for me to go for a run and take some great pictures. Also was able to go for a quick dip in the pool! I will tell you I could get use to the way of sunbathing over on this side of the Sea. haha!

I'm happy to say Suz was the one to imform us that the Sox will indeed be playing in October, god she's good!

Have a great rest of your weekend and i'll be back on Wed!

Ciao

Fall Ball

I'm sure if Kimba were here, she'd be posting about the Red Sox so in her absence, I will post about the Mets. I do want to wish a hearty congratulations to you Red Sox Nationals out there. They've clinched themselves a playoff berth and now its down to three games and how the Rays play to determine who takes AL East and who takes the wild card. Now, Kimba's other baseball team (who I won't mention by name since they are neck in neck with my Mets for the NL wild card, well that's a whole other story. But lets not lay all the blame on the Brew Crew, the Mets are content to throw it away on their own. Last night I was at the game - Delgado hit a grand slam (what's that? did I just hear MVP????) to have a nice 5-1 lead over the Cubs. Next inning? Bam, we blow the whole thing. And so it went until we had a 6-6 tie game in the bottom of the ninth. And after stranding 9 baserunners, even to go as far as a man on third with no outs (seriously) we lost it in the 10th. Oy. I am keeping the faith but if these guys don't make it to the playoffs? Well I'm selling my Todd Hundley jersey on EBay and might have to find another sport to occupy my spring/summer/fall.

Wedding Photos

Hi, all! Kimba has (bravely) handed over the reigns to me while she's honeymooning in Spain. I hope I can fulfill all her hopes and dreams of my guesting. Fingers crossed. I thought I'd start us off with some of my favorite wedding pictures. I'm sure she'll give a whole fabulous wedding recap upon her return, but I'm sure you're all anxious to see how fabulous everything looked. So, without further adieu:

HOWDY

I'm here!

We've been running around for the last month getting everything finished up so of course my poor blog goes by the wayside. But I know after we get back from Spain i'll be blogging a lot more often!

I'm watching the Pats vs. Jets game, it's so crazy to watch Brett Favre on the Jets! I'm happy the Pats are winning thus far!

All is going well with our planning and we're less then a week away so as most of you know there are the final things that need to get done, but after Thursday there is NOTHING i can do but relax and enjoy the guest who are starting to arrive!

My mom and aunt are staying in Sandwich for a few days on this great cottage on the water, we stopped and saw them this morning and it is a very nice place. I hope the weather clears up and the can enjoy their beach front preppy cottage! My dad and step mom arrive tomorrow and they're going to stop by and see our  new place. Starting on Wed we're going to start to have a lot of family arrive. We're only working three days this week and we'll be off until October 6th!!!! How crazy is that?/!

I hope to check in this week, i'm trying to get my to-do list in order!

Stay tuned! :o)

GO PATS!

Dear Kimberly,

You know you're doing pretty good with being less then a month away. A few things....

-It's ok if your brother hasn't RSVP'd yet...he'll be there

-What ever hasn't been done will get done, really in the grand scheme of things it really all has already been done.

-You had an amazing bachelorette party and though you already knew it you have the best bridesmaids (*FRIENDS) ever! More then you could ever dream of. *(I am so blessed, they are truly the best gals I could ever ask for)*

-You are now more than happy with the idea of letting the wonderful helpers in your life (MIL-tobe, and others) help you and take things on and do it better than you could ever think!

-Telling the Cake lady doing a tasting on the Cape on Wednesday's just won't work so sending her a picture of what you want is ok, more than ok!

-Don't forget one big thing...when you might be stepping outside of your "I'm not that bride" zone you have Sara to pull you back in!

-Big one: your mom is coming out tomorrow for the weekend!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And she will be with you when you have your hair and makeup done for the first time! Though we all know it'll look great! Nothing is better then mom being there! She is a trooper!

-Last night you and your husband to-be when out to dinner for your "one month until" dinner. And it was wonderful yet pretty funny to laugh at everyone who was so serious. Great dinner and a great bottle of wine and going home was the best!

-There is one more gal who is just nice enough to speak up and say "Spain"...

-Oh and you have a whole blogging world that you have not updated for so...cut the shit!

-There will be more to come, but for now! Just enjoy....I know you've heard for weeks, months, years that you need to step back and enjoy! I would say step back right now and enjoy...get things done...but enjoy!

-Though Kimberly, I understand you and Music Guy have planned this whole wedding and the stress is warranted, enjoy!!! No really enjoy!!!!!!!!

xo,

Kimba

Honeymoon help!

First blog post of August, sickening Kimba!

I am calling all of my preppy jet setters for some advice on what is a must see for our honeymoon!

Here are the details:

We're going to Spain and will be spending most of our time in Puerto Banus and Marbella.

Any thoughts for those who have been to or know people who have are much appreciated.

We're on the Cape and it only took us 3 hours to get here, traffic and weather was the problem. But no matter how long you have to sit in traffic just getting down here makes it all worth it.

We're meeting with the Priest tomorrow morning and the rest of the day will be spent on the boat fishing. Very much looking forward to that!

Not much wedding news to report, we got our invites out which was huge! I talked with our cake lady today and the only time she could do tastings was on Wednesdays so to sum it up I pretty much told her I didn't cake to come in and just get it done. She's on the Cape so I would have had to take time off of work to do it. Which would be fine if I actually cared, but hey she has been voted Best of Boston and Best of the Cape. I just need to send her an email of what I want it to look like, easy enough for me!
