Meetings and dresses

I'm checking in before I spend the rest of my day in a windowless conference room!

BUT this evening will be fabulous. My mom and I are going to L'elite on Newbury as I've been eyeing this Watters dress for months. It actually was one of the first dresses I ripped out of a magazine. Hopefully I won't be disappointed, regardless it will be a great "night out" with my mom! And then tomorrow evening we're heading West of Boston to do some more dress shopping. She is only here for a few days so we're packing in a lot! Which is typically how I do things anyways. :)

Hope you Boston ladies have been enjoying this summer like weather!

Libs, the magic number is 2!!!!

It's not easy being green

One thing I forgot to add was that all of the dresses are one color antique. Which being fair skinned with light hair it didn't show me how it would really look. I know they have that color as it does not get dirty as cream or white would.

I would like an off white or a light cream, not the BRIGHT white but not ivory. Ya know?

I'm bring puffy back

I was not a fan of this dress, i liked it at first, but it just was to "wedding dress" for my taste. But again, you have to try to know!

Testers

I would like to see what this dress would look like with a navy or cream colored sash, just can't get the picture with the RED.

I tried this one on for my mom!

One thing is this place only had one size for all their dress, and I swear they were a size 6, and well i'm not there yet! HA! So not many back shots, but you can get the idea!

Some more pix!

Some more of the dress I really liked. The dress is from Alvina Valenta If i were to get this dress I would take off the bling, not my style.

Just one....

As I was trying to get the pictures loaded I saved one dress picture and then thought oh crap these will stay on the computer and Music Guy might see them. So as long as I have one already on why not share it. This is the dress I fell in love with. A few things I'd like to change but for the most part this is along the lines of what i'm thinking!

Only you Kimba

I have a very fun weekend planned ahead of me!

Wedding dress shopping
Milwaukee Brewers Game

Midget Car Racing!
What? You've never been to a Midget race, you always have to explain to people it's not a bunch of short people running around, but actual cars!
Every Sunday in the summer growing up we'd go to the Midget car races at Angell Park in my home town! I have some very dear friends who race/families of racers that just mean the world to me. It will be so fun, my mom and I will be getting a "pit pass" and I will have tons of pictures to share! Yep, this collar up pearl wearing chick is a hick at heart! Giddy up!
Have a great weekend, weather in Boston looks promising!
Cheers!

That's it folks!

After going back through the pictures a second time sans criticizing myself I remembered I liked the back on this one.
Who knows!
That's all for Wedding Dress Shopping Trip #1

#2

I meant to post this one, another view from the dress where i only liked the top.

And if you're wondering about my hair....

Alla ripped my hair out of the bun and bent me forward grabbing at my hair to flop it on top of my head and slapped on the crown! I was a bit frightened with her from that point forward as we had only spoken two words thus far!

Wedding dress trip #1

Well I made it out alive!

First off I did not find "the one" but did indeed found what I did not want!

I went to Sara's condo in Salem on Saturday morning and then we were off! But of course not before stepping in a BIG pile of dog poo with my only once worn JCrew leather flip flops. That was fun! Moving right along.

We had the funniest sales woman Alla, she loved Sara and towards the end of our trip there she went off and did other things as she felt Sara had it down!

Here's me and my girl Alla looking at the pictures I brought in which really did help! Thanks to the veteran brides for this tip!
This dress is a bit plain but I wanted to see how a sash would look on me. I liked it, but when you add a sash the dress is just that plain. But the price tag was pretty lovely $199.00

I liked the top part of the dress but was not a fan of the bottom, it weighed about 20lbs and really stuck out there. I don't think we'd be able to successfuly complete "kiss the bride" in this bad boy!

I swear big ole' white wedding dresses do nothing for me! :)

Another look, i like the top on this but do not like how it over laps half way through the skirt.

And of course here is the one you've all been waiting for! I swear the dress was so itchy I could not put my arms down.

Music Guy just needs is a mullet and we'd be ready to go!
We had a great time! After we headed for some Mexican and to get our nails done, a perfect ending to a gals afternoon!

More on the weekend later!

Hope you enjoyed the pictures!
