Who better people to ask than my lovely blog ladies...
When putting together a little tote/kit for the wedding day can you suggest some items and goodies that were must haves? Of course the top of my list is double stick tape!
Wicked foggy here in Beantown...which means it's wicked muggy! God bless AC and venti latte's.

I didn't do any of that stuff but I know if you go on the knot dot com they have pages and pages of suggestions for that kind of thing.
I went on the knot but after about 2 seconds i got lazy and thought maybe others could do the work for me?! :) And figured this way it would be less cheesy!
I would think a small deodorant could be useful.
sunscreen (if it's summer), bug spray (if it's outside), aerosol hairspray (for extra hold on the wedding day hairdos), little packets of advil.
How about some snacks? You can never go wrong with food!
flasks!
For mine, I had snacks like cereal bars, nuts, fig newton bars, bottled H20, mints, listerine disolving strips, bandaids, advil, bobby pins, a sewing kit, Tide pen, tissues, deodorant, hairspray, mini toothbrushes and probably even some mini bottles of liquor, just in case! I put them in a big collective basket & we all just kind of used them as needed. Hit your Target travel area & there are all kinds of great items. I also did a smaller version that were placed in the reception rest rooms.
Is the Knot cheesy? When I was planning I thought it was great - but that was like 4 years ago now.
Not bad, but the things I found were... Example:
Each bridesmaid should write a letter to the bride and slip it into her bag.
That is not something for the day of, maybe the bridal luncheon.
I got married 6/2 on Nantucket and didn't have anything. The only thing I'd recommend having, because my Matron Of Honor had it and it was great -- white chalk.
When somehow lipstick got on my dress, we were able to white it out!
Everything else was covered between the hair dresser's bag of tricks (Michael Hawkins) and the Yacht Club, where we got dressed before heading to St. Pauls Church.
Enjoy. It's so fun!
Well I was my Mom's MOH over the weekend. A Tide pen or shout wipes are a must. Also if your dress is white then carry some white chalk (you can color over anything a tide pen can't cure).
Imodium or Pepto for a nervous stomach.
Bandaids for new shoe blisters.
Emergency bottle of SmartWater.
Small sewing kit (like one you might snag from your hotel room).
Extra adhesive for eyelashes or nails.
Kleenex, kleenex, and more kleenex (puffs plus with lotion).
Hope this was any sort of help to you.
Combos? It's real food, real fast.
and I tagged you.
Thanks for ALL the help, i've taken notes! Big time!
Chalk is not something i would have thought of, and or combos!
Baby powder is also handy to have if it is a hot (read sweaty) day!
I have a huge bag of tricks, most were mentioned by Susan D, but I'm too lazy to double check.
Tide Stick, breath mints, water, advil, immodium, tums, double stick tape, clear nail polish, nail polish remover wipes, q tips, sewing kit, safety pins, bobby pins (an updo always ends up with a stray hair or two), hair spray, lotion
We also always make sure someone has offered to provide snacks for the brides room-water, maybe a clear soda, but usually just water, apples, cheese, goldfish and pretzels (mixed together), teddy grahams-the key is food that won't stain if you spill it. But beware, check to see if the chef put lemon on the apples. Mine did and I couldn't figure out why my eyes were on fire everytime I tried to put my contacts in. It caused a small crisis on my wedding day until I figured out the problem and got them in pain free.
