I'm going to try my best to give you some of the fun details from the weekend!
We took the ferry out of Falmouth where I proceeded to get a sweet sun glass tan. We were so excited to get there the hour ride seemed to take forever. If you can think about 8 gals staying in a house for a few days you can imagine the amount of stuff we had. Not to mention the rolling backpack cooler suitcase one gal brought. We got to the house and threw our stuff down and headed to Lighthouse Beach (if you have ever been to Edgartown it's the beach that is right by the Lighthouse when you're coming into the harbor). We had the entire beach to ourselves which was great because before we headed to the beach we filled up said cooler. And no one wants their full cooler taken away on the first day!
After a lot of good beach time and many jokes we went back to the house to get all showered up and start our cocktail hour. But not again before refilling said cooler. We had a long cocktail hour while everyone was getting ready. Our plan was to go out to dinner and then out to a bar after. So all the batchlorette gear had to be hidden until we got through with dinner.
We had a really nice dinner at the Kelly House right in town and before we left we dressed her all up in her flair for the evening. Our next stop was The Wharf Pub, we asked some random guy on the street to show us some place fun and that he did! They had a cover band that played a good mix of 80's and early 90's. Screaming at the top of our lungs to Jesse's Girl and Journey is a great way to spend any Saturday night.
The bride J said if you want attention if a bar put on a vail and she is so right. Men and woman would come up to her and want details or would ask us are you with "the bride". Pretty classic!
The next morning we walked into town and got breakfast and walked around as the weather was a little chilly and breezy. Soon it turned nice and a few of us headed to the beach (please note a cooler refill did happen). It was the same and the day before, not one person in site. We were going to take the trolley to South Beach but figured we found such a great spot why not try it again and we were not let down!
Our plan for the evening was to stay in and grill out. We had to be out of the house early and didn't feel another night on the town was in our best interest and we'd be able to enjoy each other more in a low key setting. Not that the 8 of us are very low key! We had another very fun cocktail hour on the deck and had a wonderful dinner. J's mom sent us over with a ton of food so all we had to find were burgers and of course chips! Oh and a few beers and a bottle of wine.
The next morning we all got up and cleaned up the house, packed our stuff and headed into town one last time. This was when most of us split up and got our power shopping done. We had a 12:45 ferry so the morning went quickly.
It was indeed one of the best weekends. I can't remember the last time I laughed so hard. We woke up after our first day there sore from laughing. The house was everything I thought and wanted it to be.
Of course there are a few details I left out "What happens in Edgartown says in Edgartown"!
I did however stop by the Vineyard Vines store and was able to find the tote bag Suz was looking for. I was on a mission to find her that bag!
Pictures to come!
I will post pictures when I get them on the computer and the girls send their albums around.

What a Weekend you had!!!
KEP was there too this weekend. Did you run into her? I know because my sis sent pictures of her in front of the Kelly bar on Kelly street. Fun weekend!
D, I did run into her and Terry twice! I forgot to add that! :)
That sounds like a blast! But tell me you aren't allowed to have said coolers there? That just doesn't seem right!
What a blast! It was the perfect weekend weather-wise, too. Reading your post makes me want to visit the Vineyard again!
You're not suppose to drink on any beach. SO having a cooler with wheels and us having roadies with koozies makes ones wonder!!!!
Sounds like an absolutely perfect weekend!! Nothing is better for the spirit then belting out Jesse's Girl at the top of your lungs!
There is nothing like a weekend away with the girls! You gals gave that cooler a workout!
That sounds like a lovely weekend! I love the beach.
Sounds like a wonderful weekend! I can't wait to be "the bride" this weekend! I love veils and my sister made me one for each night! Ha, Ha!
I am so glad it all worked out so well for you and you could enjoy it . . .the planning can be so stressful!! I am anxious to see the pics!
