Dress me

To keep my blog ladies happy I thought i'd post some pictures of dresses I like!

Tell me your thoughts on the blue bottoms? Are they too "bridesmaid dress". I would like to see the dress in navy with the light blue bottom and light blue sash.
I like the top of this and thought it would be a cute way to have my maid of honor "stand" out. But again it might be a little to cute for my taste.
I really like how the sashes are tied on these dresses. I don't understand the multiple color sashes but some people like them. I am more of a matching type of chick!

If i had to pick a dress today i would go with the below dress with a light blue sash. I think it's classic and slimming for all.

All of these dresses are from Coren Moore

Like them, dislike them? Suggestions? Thoughts? :)

I like the color peeking out from the hem, it sort of ties the sash in, but it def. makes it more 'bridesmaidy'. The top of the dress you like is pretty but I dont know if that style would work on everyone, I think its one of those things you have to see on to determine. The last pic of the navy dresses is lovely, it really reinforces the color being perfect for the 'maids.

I like the color peeking out from the hem, but I think you're very right that the two blues should be reversed (navy with light blue accent instead of the other way around.) I *REALLY* like the way the sashes look in the third photo, it's a very care-free summer beachy look but still very classy, I love it! I can't remember if you said it is going to be a day or night wedding? I noticed the girls in that pictures were wearing wedge sandals which could be a little casual for a formal night party... maybe you could pair them with a little blue slide which would be more dressy.

I love the dress in the last picture. I'm not really a fan of the color peeking out on the bottom. I like the simplicity of just the dress with the sash. Are you going to do a 2" or 3" sash? My bridesmaid dresses are Coren Moore and have been so happy working with her.

I had never heard of her dresses until (I think I told you this) my little sister picked them for her wedding. I went to have my dress fitted yesterday and I really love it. It is simple strapless, light blue with a white sash.

I like your idea of the different color coming out under the hem but I think it will truly make it a bridesmaids dress. I already have plans to where my dress again for another wedding at the end of the summer (not on the same coast so no one will know it's a bridesmaids dress). Maybe I will either take the sash off or change it.

Anyway you pick I don't think you could go wrong with Coren Moore.

I love the last dresses and I agree that the different colored hem makes it more bridesmaidy.

I think they are all beautiful. The last one is probably the most flattering for everyone and also the mostly likely it could be worn again.

I love love love love love the red ones. Well, the ones that look reddish....

I agree completely with Melissa. They are all very nice, but my favorite is the bottom one and think it would be the most flattering on all body types. I love the sash idea too.

I think you're right about the last one. They are very flattering to all and I am also a fan of all matchy-matchy. I think differing necklines/colored sashes can take away from the overall look!

Hmmm. Maybe you can send me some other ideas and I can come up with a Kimba wedding StoryBoard!

I agree about the dresses in the last photo. They are flattering to all of the girls in the picture.

When I graduated from high school, we had to design a dress for everyone to wear to graduation. We had a huge petty fight over the dresses one group wanted a dress that would have looked awful on the bigger girls. Eventually, my side won and we picked a dress that flattered everyone.

I LOVE the look of the dresses in the last photo. I think it's the most flattering and more classic cut that'll be worn again and again.
What I just said, however, should be taken with a giant grain of salt, because I LOVE navy and I have a dress that looks exactly like those dresses in the last photo that I LOVE.
How many more times can I LOVE something in one comment?
It is such a pleasure to see all your wedding thoughts, I really do enjoy seeing all the photos, etc. Keep em coming! Please, LOVE!

I really like the last one - we are using navy dresses (not that style) but I really (to use Reds quote) LOVE navy against the white or ivory of the bride. I have a dress exactly like the last navy and it is so flattering & classy! I love the idea of the sash contrasting and adding more color.

I love the dark blue too. And I do love the bow on the red dress. Gosh I wish I were planning a wedding too. What fun you girls have.

At the Bahamas wedding I just attended, the bridesmaids wore navy dresses with light blue sashes. It was a gorgeous combination!
They all wore regaulr flip flops (because it was more casual), but I kept thinking that their outfits would have looked even better with the Eliza B. custom wedding flip flops. I love those!

The last one with all in the darker blue look almost like what my bridesmaids wore. So I have to say I like theat one the most.

I thought about customizing each dress a bit, but in the end it was just too much. I can't stand it when people let them choose and a few choose one and a few choose another and some bridesmaid is totally different. I think all different, or all the same, if one is different it has to be the maid/matron of honor. I was going to let my girls pick their shoes too, but I decided to be anal on that one too...when they're shorter dresses you can tell. So, I chose inexpensive and bought them myself.

If you like the different colored bottom go with it, even if it looks bridesmaidy. My girls reminded me that as much as I wanted them to wear their dresses again, they still might not, so I might as well choose what I wanted. In the end, I did choose a strapless tea length dupioni dress with a sash...I'd wear it again, but if they don't, at least they'll look the way I want in the wedding.

I like the bottom dresses too. Everyone is using strapless these days, it's nice to be a bit different, and not everyone looks good in strapless.
