Ok so I have this soup/coffee bowl-mug and i had it soaking in the ladies room at work because i had oatmeal on Monday and it crusted and it was NOT going to get clean unless it soaked, so that's what i let it do.
I went into the bathroom today (i know i should have gotten it yesterday) and it was GONE. Can you believe someone stole my mug. I am so ticked. I don't know if I'm mad because my bowl is gone or I had nothing to put my oatmeal in. Regardless that is so rude, who takes other peoples items? Another good one is if you put your lunch/snack in the public work fridge and when you go to get it it is also missing? Unclassy and annoying.
So i leave you with this, have you had something from work or school taken that just didn't make sense? Or is it just a Northeast thing...

When I worked in an office, I used to HATE that shit - I would put my name on everything - from mugs, water bottles, salad dressing, yogurts, anything that couldn't be tied-down, I guess!! People cease to amaze me - talk about WEIRD!
At my old office they threatened to fire people if they were caught stealing lunches out of the communal fridge and also threatened to install security cameras in the fridge area! I always wondered how the lunch stealers chose what lunches to take. Do they go for the prettiest lunch box? Or do they poke around until they find something they like?
I get like Ross Gellar in that episode where someone ate his thanksgiving leftover sandwich. I totally fly off the handle. But seriously, you know that you didn't buy that yogurt/can of soda/insert item; what makes you think that whoever did wants you to have it? Its not like you accidentally forgot that you didn't bring a chicken salad on a bagel sandwich, you purposely ate someone else's stuff. Grrrr.
What is wrong with people? If it doesn't belong to you, don't take it!
tell us if it magically makes it way back to you
Oh ugh! I completely forgot about that aspect of office life. So irritating. Right up there with those people who microwave leftover fish in the office kitchen.
I agree with fish, BUT... burnt popcorn or toast is a big one with me!!!
I used to keep a big box of cereal in the office kitchen cupboard for hunger emergencies. I had noticed it was dwindling a lot faster than my eating habits would have warranted, but I brushed it off thinking I must be a bigger pig than I thought. Then, one day I saw our office manager no less, walking down the hall carrying a big bowl of MiniWheats. Hello?! Who does that? And she's the freakin' office manager who actually buys the communal stuff for the office so she obviously knew she hadn't bought it! The next day I put a BIG ASS sign on the box that said "Lisagh's cereal. If you want some, please ask."
I had a co-worker who would always use my vanilla, fat-free creamer. I never knew who it was, until I saw him rummaging in the fridge, mumbling, "where'd the creamer go?. Duh, you used it all! I ended up putting creamer in an unmarked milk bottle so he wouldn't be tempted!
Very clever susan d!
Nicking peoples stuff from work - that is just SO wrong!!!
